Folks! I posted this to discuss the Napier conference so that we can, as the student community, give feedback to the council. No, there has not been any official request for this.
So keep the feedbacks rolling along!!

As a first time conference attendee I was really impressed with the seriousness and professional approach to the conference business, included the AGM business.
I have one concern which relates to the presentation by Deborah Collins, after being encouraged to not take notes several times through-out the presentation, at the end, the notes will be sent to members only. I have no objection paying $5.00 for the information, indeed it is only right that there is a cost, I am very concerned however that I may not get the opportunity. I thought the venue was great and the food even better, or perhaps the other way around!!! |

My understanding is that Deborah's notes will be available to all conference attendees not just members. I will send an email to Angela to check this out.
My feedback is: 1) The venue was great, though the temperature was variable. Could have done with better lighting of the dais. 2) For me as a vegetarian, the food on the first day was good. The morning tea on the second day was a disappointment. 3) A suggestion for future conferences to schedule "heavy" items such as Deborah's presentation in the morning when everyone is fresh and have stuff such as the "marketing of the council" immediately after lunch. 4) Slightly better time management would have been good, but not to complain. I would have happily had more time allocated to Deborah's sessions Vish

All in all I thought that the conference was good with lots of variety, but I agree with Julian in that there should have been an opportunity for us to give some feedback.
I was impressed with all the speakers and think that Gwyneth and Julian should be proud of those who graduated from the Wellington College - especially as some have only been practicing for about 5 years, yet are very involoved in the promotion etc of Homeopathy. |
