An Unveiling

A warm sincere invitation is extended to you to come to the Wairarapa for
the weekend and to attend the Headstone Blessing for Ian Locker.
Saturday 27th April 2002, 2.45 pm at Featherston Cemetery.
A special time for his family, friends and students to share together.

Programme
2.45 pm Assemble at the Graveside, Featherston Cemetery
3.00 pm Opening song
3.10 pm Blessing by Cannon Damon Plimmer
3.20 pm Open talk time for anyone wishing to speak
Closing prayer and song
4.00pm Official Welcome onto Te Wakaiti and afternoon tea followed
by an evening together in convivial company for drinks and
supper.

Sunday 28th - A relaxing morning with a brunch-time Barbeque followed by an
official farewell at 3.00pm. There will be a pot luck dinner for those
staying over until Monday.

Te Wakaiti is situated almost opposite the Featherston cemetery it is
available for my sole use from Friday 26th to Monday 29th April. You are
welcome to arrive at any time from Friday morning. It has Marae-style
accommodation for approx 24 people but you will need to bring a sleeping
bag/quilt and pillow. The grounds are spacious and sheltered so you can
bring a tent if you wish to do so.

There is Motel/Caravan/Backpackers accommodation close by at Lee Way Motel,
8 Fitzherbert Street, Featherston, phone: 06 308 9811. There is also a
selection of cottages, hotel and motel accommodation in the area (contact
me if you would like more details).
Please let us know if you need to be picked up from Featherston train
station.
If you are driving from Wellington, turn right into Moore Street at the
bottom of the hill (Ocean Beach sign post). From Masterton direction,
drive straight through the village, Moore Street is the last turning on
your left before the hill. The cemetery and Te Wakaiti are approx 500m down
the road. We will sign post the entrance to Te Wakaiti.

Koha of a bottle would be appreciated but please only bring food if you
want to.
RSVP by 12th April 2002 will help us with numbers for accommodation and
catering.
Ruth and I are really looking forward to seeing you all again.
