Are there any homeopathic remedies for psoriasis that have been proven to work? I know there is no cure but I've been to several doctors and a dermatologist who have prescribed a plethora of creams, lotions and foams but nothing seems to be helping.
Thank you |

Dear Volrick
here is a link to the National Center For Homeopathy See list of homeopaths in directory National Center for Homeopathy Conventional medicine does not address the problem only suppresses the symptoms, you cannot apply external lotions, creams on the skin. The skin is an organ of ellimination. There is an internal imbalance within your immune system that needs to be addressed via proper homeopathic analysis. This is my first time participating on this web site, so I'm not quite sure how this works – I am suffering from Psoriasis from the last 1 and half year back. I visited three big shot of this field/dermatologists in Islamabad but in vain, or unaffordable and hopeless.
I firmly believe in homeopathy, however, I have no information that who is/are the best one in Islamabad. What kind of information would you need from me to point me in the right direction as to a homeopathic remedy. I understand this skin disorder is not curable but controllable as doctors told me. I appreciate any suggestions and help you can give me about Psoriasis, best diet for me, and other pre-cautionary measures to step down my disease. Thanks, Asif |

There are many patients free from psoriasis for long time under homoeopathic treeatment.
I usually advise to give imprtance to vegetables and fruits fish and meat sparingly. To avoid dry fish, shell fish etc. In my experience 'the selection of the right remedy' is the main thing in taming psoriasis or any condition. You can click member's list above, where you get address of drs from ur area.

This is not homeopathy, but addresses your question about diet.
In one of Mary Enig's books she describes a doctor who had his patients eat a lot of raw butter, since people with psoriasis are lacking in the enzyme that digests fat (lipase). Raw butter (made from milk that has not been heated/pasturized) contains lipase, which helps digest the fat so the body can use it properly. One might deduce from this that the enzyme lipase could simply be taken with meals as a supplement, if the person is eating good quality fat, but an enzyme therapist should be able to tell you about this, as I have no personal experience with it. My dad has psoriasis. He went to a homeopathic/naturopathic doctor. They recommended him take arsenicum album. The remedy made him ill. His psoriasis gotten considerable worse after taking the medicine. He is now doing this new treatment called remicade. This treatment seems to work the best so far. He has also tried sun rays which did not help much.
I also heard of one success story with people taking Kali Bromatum to help with psoriasis. His story is in this forum post. Psoriasis is a tricky to treat. Many weird things can happen with this disease. |
