Question

I have been struggling with warts on my hands (specifically around the fingernails) for years. I've gone to different dermatologists to seek help, but I haven't had much success. I ended up spending a lot of money on costly treatments like Aldara and saw no improvement.

More recently, I read about something called causticum in a natural healing book. I decided to give it a try. I started taking causticum 30c once a day. I noticed after about a week and a half that the area around each wart was tender, reddish, and became very itchy. So I stopped taking the causticum. However, within the week after stopping treatment, I noticed DRAMATIC changes! The warts (ALL of them!) had begun to go away. The wart tissue started dying and the dead tissue was sloughed off (ie. when I took showers). So, I've seen great results with the causticum. The warts aren't completely gone, so I resumed the same causticum 30c once daily treatment.

My questions now are these: How long should I continue treating myself with the causticum? Should I keep taking the same dose? Should it be used now as a preventative measure that I should take daily? or should I only take it if they reappear?? Are there any dangers to taking causticum on a regular basis? Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I'm very new to the area of homeopathic remedies.

Causticum is one of the main remedy for warts. There are many remedies and in homoeopathy the selection is on the basis of individual peculiarity.

In you case you took causticum in homoeopathic potency and found it very successful.Accidently ,may be you selected similimum itself! But the dosage is too rapid. You can stop it now and wait until the improvement stops and new one appear.Otherwise there is possibility of drug proving on yourself.
