Thankyou to all those kind members that are trying to help my problem. Interestingly relating to what Ricky had to say, re: allergy to citrus fruits, I must admit at one stage I was having a lemon squeezed in hot water first thing in the morning, as a cleanser, this exacerbated the problem 10 fold. Unfortunately I cannot relate everyday problem to citrus fruit as I am not a daily consumer, but its certainly worth being aware of - Thanks Ricky.
Pannakkal, the combination remedy that I was using was Tissue salts, specifically prescribed for acne. I believed them to be okay, but they did not help. Gary, thanks for the questions, in response 1. The colour is red, bright red, Bell red, not itchy, always on chin. 2. Not noticed whether hot or cold makes it worse 3. Have tried many different facial washes, no difference. 4. No family history, although my father told me recently he had acne as a teenager, and now I come to think of it so did my brother, but neither of them had a problem as an adult. 5. I am not a thirsty person, drink lots of tea, not a lot of water, naughty I know. Like to drink wine in large amounts. 6. I am a rather chilly person, I always seem to be cold sitting on top of the radiator, yet in summer, the heat of summer drives me mad. 7. I do love the fresh air, always got windows open, even in the middle of winter, but will often be sitting next to heater. 8. I dont sweat at night 9. I have a huge desire for sweet food, no huge preference for hot drinks, love my tea, love my wine. 10. Acne does not feel hot, just very inflamed almost looks like boils. - UGLY 11. The pimples are very sensitive to touch and hang around for about a week each, very rarely come to a head - blind. I have tried applying hot towels to bring them to a head, sometimes it works, I squeeze but then inflammation seems worse 12. Cant honestly say if they are affected by eating fatty or rich foods, no pattern. 12. Don't add salt to my food when cooking. Not a huge saltly food consumer, altough most prepackaged food contains large quantities of salt. I do love junk food, but try to eat a reasonably healthy diet. 13. One pattern I have noticed is that the pimples seem worse mid cycle - ovulation. I hope all this is of some help to all you kind folk out there trying to help me. Many Many thanks to all of you, this is the best homoeopathy site yet found. Thanking you in anticipation. |

Does it make it worse outside or inside, washing with warm water or cold water, any other symptoms, also do you get craving for eating chocolate or do you like eating chocolate.
Can you tell me your mental thoughts do you feel often feels taken for granted and overworked, becoming irritable or sarcastic if demands are made. Late periods or scanty flow with a feeling that the pelvic floor is weak, or as if the uterus is sagging. If this is you then take Sepia 1M and don’t eat any acid foods, mint, chocolate, coke. For one month. And no coffe and wine. |

in relation to the face area the organs of the body are related. meaning=the nose area is related to the heart, the area under the eyes is related to the kidneys, the cheeks related to lungs, the chin area is related to the reproductive organs. so this might be a clue to the remedie.

Hello peeps
I just joined this forum so that I can respond to Melanie's original question Forgive me, but I know very little about homeopathy except that I found this site whilst trying to research if homeopathy could help with why I get hard headless spots on my jaw line whilst I am ovulating. Melissa, it sounds like we have a similar problem I am 30 and I have had acne since I was 10. Mostly blackheads and white heads. In my late 20's my acne got a lot better and is controllable most of the time, and most of the time I have quite a clear complexion I get a few spots, but the worst ones come when I am ovulating. From days 11-17 of my cycle, I get a whole series of hard spots, they are all mostly on my jaw line, they are more like boils, in that don’t have a head, they are red and sore to the touch and as a consequence I cant stop touching and playing with them, I know it is better not to touch them but it is habit. If they have had a day or two to grow, I can usually squeeze them with a hot flannel and the root will come out too, but sometimes if they are not ready to come all I get is a clear liquid and a horrrible scab for a few days. I am wondering if I might have PCOS, I don’t have any unusual hair growth anywhere, but I am overweight, I have lost some weight and I probably need to loose another 3 stone 45lbs. I wonder if I have a hormone imbalance, too much testorone, but I don’t present with the other problems associated with PCOS, I have regular periods etc. I don’t think that putting particular creams on my skin are going to stop the spots coming, I think I need to get to the cause/root of why they appear for about a week at a time each time I am ovulating. I don’t think diet alters my skin complexion that much, I eat a balanced diet, but do like wine etc. I use dermalogica products on my skin. I also try to clean my mobile phone with an antiseptic wipe occasionally so I am not transferring grease/jaw from it to my cheek again. If anyone has any further ideas or suggestions they would be gratefully received. Thanks from Freya ![]() |

Have you tried Zinc? I have an acne prone skin, not severe, but usually 3-4 pimples along the chinline by morning, regardless of diet, types of fece wash etc. I was sceptical about this, but since I started taking it, most of it is gone and I wake up with a clear face. I'm using Opti Zinc by Source Naturals, 2 tabs with breakfast, one with dinner- 90 mg total, dont take it on empty stomach, it might make you neuseous. Zinc is known to heal wounds and reduce inflamation, I take it along with fish oil.Dont take more then 100 mg a day.

I still think it's rather presumptuous of everyone to assume that bumps under the chin means acne. There are other irritations that cause bumps on the skin. If they never come to head, should that not also be considered as a possible sign of something else? I recommend seeing a dermatologist.

I came back to post because I went to see a homeopath recommended to me by a friend (who has been seeing her for 8 years) I spent 2 hours with her talking about family history, my likes/dislikes and she asked if I was hot or cold person, what my fears were etc, she gave me a remedy and I went back a month later, the remedy had altered the pattern of my spots, but didn't cure it. I was then given a new different remedy for the next month and it worked, I didn't get any hard cysts on my jaw line at all whilst ovulating. However I did get one or two cysts that came to a head within a day, and I got a few before my period this month. But on the whole my skin has been very clear, it is amazing, although I do have to say that in combination with taking the 2nd (different) remedy, I felt a lot better about myself and decided to not drink alcohol, for a month, so that may have helped too, but I am wax lyrical about homeopathy at the moment because I can see physical signs that it really is working. I think it helps that I trust my homeopath, (and I guess believe in it, which helps) she was originally a chemist and has totally switched sides now. So my recommendation would be get treated and see if it works for you.
