I was recently diagnosed with ringworm on my
leg and my doc prescribed lotrimin and hydrocortisone. I wasn't too happy as steroids affect immune function and I had been getting hydrocortisone cream and also through electrodes for an ankle injury. The hydrocortisone Tx have been going on for weeks before I developed the ringworm. 2 questions. Could the steroid make me immune compromised enough to get ringworm ? Any treatment options you can recommend ? Just switched to Lamosil and dropped the cortisone.

I have written on this subject several times. I have a 19 yr old daughter who is dating a wrestler in college. She has contracted ringworm several times. We have treated her constitutionally with NUX - We have treated her with Sepia. I have treated her with 30 NUX just recently to get het ready for college and the next exposure to ringworn.....Any more suggestions???

Yvonne how is she doing? Did the repeating of the Sepia not make any difference the last time? Has the ringworm gone at the moment. If so treating her with her constitutional is the best course of action.

mbm- homeopathy is very individual. You need to see a professional homeopath who will take a full case history and prescribe a remedy for you as an individual rather than a disease name.

My daughter is leaving for college again in three weeks - she is still dating the wrestler......She has had only one outbreak of ringworm over the summer. She has been home, eating well, sleeping well.......when she goes back to college - the college life will begin again .....no sleep - eating what is available ....fruit and vegs???? AND the wrestler being there all the time....Any advice for prevention????Thanks for all anyones advice....

It's hard to remember, but I think the follow-up dose was 30x. To tell you the truth at this date I can't really remember.. How many times I gave it - I should start writing this down -I have received replies from Rochelle and followed. Her advice has always come in handy and produced good results. I have a stubborn daughter and maybe stubborn problems!!?? My daughter doesn't always admit to her problems, but when they are resolved, she says "hey Mom, I think that really helped me!" We are both very new to Homeopathy and the old ways are very hard to change. When you have been receiving care from your Family Doctor for years - you expect him/her to keep the records for you and say - hey you've been on this - or tried this - so let's now try That...Those of you, who have been practicing Homeopathy for awhile have to be patient with us new-comers - We don't have the MM's or up to date books on Homeopathy - We are trying to learn a new way of life! Believe me, when I say "It is VERY hard to find a Homeopathic Dr in the U.S.A" It is not covered by health-care and very exoensive, for visits and remedies, also for the lifestyle changes. Please bear with us when we ask questions ---- That's why we have a special site for PROFESSIONALS that want to confer with each other on cases that do not pertain to us . The BB is open to all who want to share and need advice from ALL! RICKY - I thank you for your comments and HELP - I've posted about my daughter's quirks, etc (also about my own before) I know that someone new would not know about them and I do not really want to re-hash it all again. Hope that this subject could be looked into more. Thanks all.

DEAR MBM - Hope you will share any success you have had with the ringworm and ask more questions about your individual case. I am really sorry that I butted in and kind of took over - my daughter has been troubled by this since her admission to college and is REALLY troubled by this - Hope you'll excuse the intrusion! - Yvonne

Don't worry I know of the case Yvonne. Maybe your daughter can take 1 sepia 200 back to college with her and only take it if she gets infected again. Really the answer is for the wrestler to be treated and as you probably realise he will more than likely need a different remedy than your daughter!!

Sorry mbm I promise I won't intefere with your post anymore
