I have gotten rid of my asthma using NAET but my eczema was not going away. So I tried Ayurvedic medicine. I was under the care of an Ayurvedic doctor for about a month but he referred me to his colleague (an ND) when it became apparent that I needed a more subtle medicine - my eczema was extremely aggrevated while using this doctor's recommended supplements. Once I stopped taking the supplements, the eczema calmed down considerbly.

I have been with this ND for approximately 1.5 months. We went thru the extensive interviewing process and decided to first try arsenic (200C). I noticed a change in my meditation and took that as a good sign. But while I was on arsenic, I kept feeling that it was not the right one. My eczema was breaking out - but not like when I was on the supplements.

After several weeks, the ND and I moved onto sulphur (after flushing the arsenic from my system). This was because the eczema was not calming down one bit, and because I kept having a feeling that it was not the right remedy, and sulphur seemed better matched for me.

I tried sulphur at 200C. My eczema got worse (but not as bad as when I took the supplements), I got more emotional, and I found I was more articulate when I spoke. I found an energy therapist to help me thru the emotions (my ND agreed to this). I've done traditional "talk" therapy since I was about 19 years old - I'm now 37 years old.

After a couple of weeks, the eczema still did not calm down one bit and the emotions subsided. But I had the feeling that we were on the right track with sulphur.

After meeting with my ND we decided to try a single dosage of sulphur at 1M (approximately a week ago). 36 hours after taking the single dose, the eczema got worse and the emotions flew! I felt like I was reliving my negative emotions of the past (I'm 37 years old). (My poor husband!) My energy therapist has helped me with feeling the emotions and moving thru them. My eczema has calmed down a little bit today, but it still itches! Emotions have calmed down but I can still feel them on the surface.

I meditate, take daily Epsom salt baths, and stay away from things that was identified as an allergen for me (e.g., gluten, dairy, eggs). I also started using an organic herbal cream on the eczema that I have used as a moisturizer on my face for sometime now.

What else can I do to help calm the eczema other than wait for the sulphur to do it's job? How long will my eczema be so uncomfortable? (Night time is the worse!) My ND says that if my eczema does not calm down considerbly in a couple more days, she will recommend another 1M dosage of sulphur. I'm wondering if this process is going to take weeks or months. What is your experience? Thank you for your feedback!

I also thought it might be important to note that my eczema is at the following points on my body:

1. Back of left knee (moderate)
2. 2nd Chakra - front (pubic area) and back of body (extreme in the back)
3. 3rd Chakra - back of body (extreme)
4. 4th Chakra - back of body (mild)
5. 5th Chakra - back of neck (moderate)
6. hands - back (extreme) and front (mild to moderate)

I sent previous reply before I got the LM potency recommendation.

I read the thread on LM potency and will go to www.simillimum.com for more information. Thank you for such a quick response!

According to Robin Logan in his excellent book "The Homeopathic Treatment of Eczema" he suggests a time scale of one to two years in the treatment of adult eczema to get a substantial result.

Doctors,
Here is more symptom and other information about me:

The eczema is rough and scaly. The skin thickens where the patch is especially worse. On my hands the eczema is worse in between my fingers (scaly) and on the back of right hand (thick, rough, and periodically "pimpley). Yesterday and today the eczema is much more calmer, but in the past it was quite painful and skin was "tight".

Around midnight to 2am is the worse. I perfer to sleep on my side. I need for the room to be cold and I like to pile the blankets on. It is very common for me to have to throw the blankets off at night for a little while because I need to cool down - slight sweating on my body, especially near the breast bone and pubic area.

I'm about 5 feet 5 inches and 118 lbs (thin) with small bone frame. Energy is much better since I have started on the sulphur. Prior to that I perferred to take a nap around 1-2pm. I sleep about 8 hours a night.

I'm philosophical, analytical (I studied math at the university), and artistically creative (I'm an artist).

My food cravings are: white rice, salt, and crispy chicken skin.

Doctors, let me know if you need more information about me or my symptoms.

Rochelle, I looked up the book you recommended on www.amazon.com but could not find it. Who is the publisher? I really would like to read it.

Robin Logan's book is really written for homeopaths. So unless you have some training in homeopathy you will find most of it useless to you. I quoted the name of the book to show where I had got my information from.
