Default Eczema/Psoriasis

Passkey kindly suggested some treatment for me nearly 2 months ago now. In a nutshell I have a history of eczema, asthma, psoriasis and depression.
I followed the treatment as suggested by passkey and there have certainly been many changes. I seem to be stuck on a plateau now. One day there is a slight improvement, another a slight aggravation. I am sure it is time for another remedy but I have been unable to get any response from passkey - perhaps he has gone away again.
Below is the (long) journal I have kept of my symptoms, which I hope will be helpful in guiding me.
I have noted changing symtpoms and things particularly unusual for me.
I know that it is preferable to see a homeopath when one has skin problems but I simply cannot afford it. To get referred to an NHS Homeopathic Hospital in the Uk is very hard - my GP says it is a waste of time (of course) and the waiting time would be about 2 years.
Perhaps passkey will see this if I post here...
On day 1, 2 and 3 I took Sulphur 30C, 150C and 500C respectively.

Day 6

Tingling around lips as if cold sore beginning to appear.

Day 8

Existing eczema on forehead beginning to clear.

Psoriasis on head beginning to clear after 24 hour agg.

Tingling in lip finished, producing no sores.

Mod – severe agg around armpit area – pink, raised patches. Humid with dry white ‘fur’ on top.

The same in elbow and knee creases and around thigh/groin/scrotum area. Very itchy.

Waking at 5.30am by itching.

Feeling sorry for myself and worrying that lack of sleep will cause me to get depressed.

Urine beginning to smell very strong and stale.

On waking in morning tongue is yellow/brown coated.

Day 10

Psoriasis on scalp nearly gone.

New patches of inflamed skin on chest and neck.

Armpit agg very uncomfortable with lots of tiny ‘blood’ spots under the raised, inflamed patches. They feel raw and sore.

Agg on lower back and buttock area.

Penis shiny, red skin, slightly leathery.

Itching worse afternoon/evening.

Scratching is beginning to draw blood.

Feels as if my body has been invaded by this rash.

Better for uncovering and cool, fresh air.

Stools have become much softer, but still formed. The last bit breaks, leaving some behind, which is almost impossible to expel.

Day 11

Patch of eczema on forehead returns.

Eczema spreading from elbow crease down forearms.

Pink/red inflammation around eyes appears.

Horrible itching.

Day 12

Take Psorinum 1M at night.

Worse night’s sleep for ages.

Day 13

Pain (rheumatic?) in toes of right foot when standing on them.

Dry weepy skin develops behind each ear.

Day 14

Raw, red rashes have become drier and itching less.

Psoriasis seems to have stopped improving – lightly inflamed patch left, with no crusts.

Day 15

Psoriasis on scalp beginning to spread and thicken.

Eczema on forehead has become a patch of dry skin.

Lips tingling again, but no cold sores.

Rash in armpits, elbows, knees and groin continues to dry.

Rash in armpits particularly uncomfortable with what looks like spots (acne) under the skin.

Dry, cracked nipples with clear yellow discharge. Tingling sensation in both nipples.

Penis very sore with tiny spots of broken skin with clear/yellow liquid appearing.

Everything better on waking in morning. Progressively worse throughout the day.

Feeling fed up and sorry for myself.

Later in day all the rashes develop the little broken spots of skin that weep and become very wet.

Itching intense.

Day 17 & 18

Psorinum 30C at night.

Day 19

Itch lessens somewhat.

Day 20

Eczema around eyes nearly clear.

Rashes around armpits become distinctly raw and stinging.

Centre of rash in elbow and knee crease appears to be fading and fresh pink skin appearing.

Rash spreading from elbow to forearm, knee to calf.

Day 24

Itching so intense that sleep not really possible last night.

Psoriasis back on scalp as usual – raise, thickened flaky patches.

Dry patch on forehead very fragile, bleeds when touched.

Where red rashes have been skin is very dry and dusty – comes off in clouds when rubbed.

In amongst this are tiny spots/blisters full of yellowish/brown liquid which weep profusely when scratched/touched.

Base of penis, scrotum and lower back particularly weepy – they feel wet.

Several ‘nicks’ in the skin of penis and scrotum that are disproportionately painful (stinging pain) – herpes?

Humid, red, raised patches return again to elbow and knee creases.

Development of shiny red, rash around anus making passing stool very painful. I am familiar with this as herpes.

Last night my skin was less itchy if I kept the covers on – very unusual for me.

Day 26

Sudden improvement of all eczema symptoms overnight.

Shooting pain returns to toes of right foot.

Day 29 (21st June)

After 2 very hot days the rash around my armpits has returned with full force.

Feels humid and weeps profusely when scratched or even rubbed.

Penis became very dry and flaky revealing deep bright red slashes which sting considerably.

Itching wakes during night.

Painful rash around anus gone.

Day 33

Overnight improvement of eczema rashes.

Penis slightly less flaky, but still very dry skin that seems to tear apart on touch.

About 5 or 6 days ago I bit my tongue while eating fairly badly. It opened up a big flap of flesh which bled for about ½ hour. Unfortunately it looks as if it might have become infected. The flap has gone a very pale pink, lost the natural texture of the tongue and has swollen slightly. The edges of the flap seemed to have healed but not joined back to the rest of the tongue. I am not quite sure what to do. If I go to the doctor I know he will want to give me antibiotics and I don’t want to ruin any good work I have done over the last month.

Day 36

Weeping almost absent.

Rashes lighter pink, with lumpy, dry, almost crusty bits on top that feel lumpy and raised to the touch.

Itching generally less, but occasionally it comes and I just have to scratch. As I am doing it I say to myself ‘Stop, stop,’ but I just can’t. Then there appear small pin-pricks of blood.

Day 38

Elbow crease skin all renewed and fresh.

During exercise I am sweating profusely (esp. head and forehead), much more than usual.

I am also noticing a slight wheeze, like the asthma I had a s a child which I have not had for years. This goes as soon as I stop exercising.

Day 43

Itching particularly bad late afternoon/early evening, especially in armpit area, bottom of back, buttocks, outsides of upper thighs and knee creases.

Pink rash beginning to develop again in elbow creases.

Flap on tongue finally beginning to heal.

Sweat causes rash to sting violently.

Day 45

When I get up in the morning symptoms are definitely better visually and itch wise, the get worse as the day goes on.

Friend says rash around armpits looks more like acne – there are a few large spots feeling like bruises, but they have no ‘head’ or visible pus.

I feel just stuck where I am. Improvement here, slight aggravation there.

Also can’t help think about how for a couple of days at the beginning of all this my psoriasis was nearly cleared up and is now back with a vengeance.

Day 47

A terribly itchy night, awake between 3 and 5am with itching.

On waking, armpit rashes remarkably improved.

Red rash beginning to dry in elbow creases…again…

I am going on holiday next week to the south of France where it will be fairly hot. I am hoping to swim (in natural lakes and rivers) as well as catching a bit of sun, but I suspect that if there is no further improvement it will just aggravate things.

Default Update

Day 49

Amelioration in armpit still good (I reckon the irritation is about 40% less than previously).

Elbow creases almost clear again.

Rash around buttocks, lower back and outer thighs now mostly consists of few small, quite painful spots with pussy heads.

Psoriasis on head as bed as it has ever been. If it were not for that I could certainly see that the direction of cure is right.

My appetite ha strongly increased and I am trying to eat healthily. I have put on a little weight, partly due to appetite and partly due to the fact that I am getting less exercise than normal (not swimming).

Questions:

Is it still a case of watch and wait?

While I am on holiday could I just treat myself to 1 or 2 cups of coffee or would that seriously damage the progression towards cure (he said optimistically!)?

hello
there is great healing via homeopathics even with eczema, just finished a case with a little girl ,all symptoms well after a few weeks using only homeopathics.

My point here is to let you know, yes it does work, but it must be done via a face to face visit with a classical homeopath that can follow your case as you need it. I take a lenthy 2hr case with each person, there is no possible way to shortcut this,100 people can have the same eczema but 100 people may need different remedies for the cure to happen.

Taking a generic multimixed combination homeopathic remedy called' eczema' is also not recomended, this does homeopathics no good, and does the patient no good.

Many homeopaths here on line give suggestions but it's certainly not a substitute for a face to face case taking,it takes time to type out 'free advice' without compensation for labor/study on the case.
Please state your city and we may give you suggestions on who to seek for an appt.

Default Request for help and advice

As i made clear at the beginning of the thread I KNOW I SHOULD see a homeopath face to face, but because of the nature of my work and income and living in expensive London it is simply not possible. I hope that does not also exclude me from sharing knowledge and advice on the internet, with all the vagaries of internet subscribing.

So far my response has been good I should say - initial improvement followed by aggravation followed by slow sustained improvement. As I have said above I am looking to move one a step now.

The rash on elbow crease come slowly for 2 or 3 days then fades slowly and so on. Following the last dramatic improvememnt around my armpits the same seems also to be true (coming and going but never getting as bad as the worst agg.)

There are still some distinctive modalities. Always gets worse towards evening, better for uncovering and cool breeze in bed and almost disappeared upon waking in the morning. There is also slow improvement around my thigh and groin area and knee creases. But the up and down nature is frustrating. I think it is disappearing and then it is back again. Everything is worse if I do not have a hot bath every day, even tho the weather is currently hot and sticky which makes the rash more uncomfortable.

The psoriasis on my scalp is as bad as ever, but the flaky scales are very white rather than the usual dirty yellow.

I usually (like every day for 30 years) have to plaster moisturiser on my face and body, but don't seem to need to at the moment.

I am drinking a lot of water and my appetite is good.

My tongue is coated with a dirty yellow bloom.

I was wondering what would move me on from where I am now or is the advice still...wait.

I read that when the secondary agg after emelioration returns it is time to repeat and so on until the external miasmatic symptoms are completely cured. Should I repeat Sulphur or Psorinum? At what potency?

And also, can I ask again, could I just have one or two cups of decaf coffee while I am on my holiday?

Would be grateful of advice or observation.

passkey has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Default Sorry

guess I lost track of you .
Sounds as if there has been good progress and things have been thrown out on the skin.
It could be that going higher -- or lower on the potency will help.

Suggest you go low first. Get some Sul 6x and take twice a day for 12 days -- BUT on every THIRD day use Silica 6x just for one day.

The odd cup of coffee will not hurt, but try to stay out of direct sunshine.

Default Back from holiday

Just into holiday when I received the rems by post, the eczema improved dramatically in most places. As a result I did not start the rems as I understand that when there is an improvment one should wait.

Having thought about it for a while I then thought that I should continue given the fact that the miasm is still active in the form of the psoriasis on my scalp (I am reading endlessly to try and understand all this). However I then developed a cough and cold after staying up too late, drinking too much and having a cigarette.

Not sure what to do now. I have a terrible cough that has left me very hoarse and I do a lot of public speaking as part of my work. I can hardly cough anything up. If I do it is only after waking and then hardly anything - pale green and lumpy.

My chest feels tight and constricted as if I cannot draw enough breath to really give a big cough. There is an increasingly painful ache in the centre of my chest when I cough that I instinctively hold when I cough.

The cold has nearly gone. At its worst it was dripping thick mucus down the back of my throat. Neither nostril was running at all tho' and it was very difficult to blow.

On the night when the cold turned into more of a cough I had a blinding headache.

Also, as soon as I eat anything I feel full and bloated. I am only eating about 1/4 of the food I normally do. I guess it is quite possible that this is my body responding to over indulgence whilst on holiday.

Any way of treating this without messing up my treatment? Or should I wait until it is over and then resume with Sulph and Sil?

Couldn't cope with the cough last night so had to do something.
I took one dose of 30C Phosphorous, slept really well and would say that cough has improved 50-75% this morning.

Default Ok...

I don't think I am going to explain again why I cannot see a professional homeopath.

The cough has now all but gone.

General changes over the past few weeks:

I mentioned above about feeling bloated and full easily. I am sure it is partly a reaction to eating more cheese and bread recently. My diet has now returned to my normal more healthy range of food, so it may subside naturally.

I have been feeling very thirsty over the past 6 weeks or so, drinking large amounts of water in one go.

I have experienced pain in my left knee when walking, especially when coming down stairs. A few years ago I had it quite badly in my right knee when I started exercising. I gradually built up the muscles around my knee and the pain went away, only to return when I ran or climbed too much.

When I pass a stool I find it really hard to get the last bit out. (I know this sounds gross but I think it could be helpful...?)

Finding it really hard to not eat sugary/starchy foods which I normally avoid or minimise without too many problems. In fact, I have put on a bit of weight over the past month or so.
