Note with interest the comments on anti dandruff shampoo and suppression in another thread. I'm always careful not to suppress any skin eruptions (not that I've had many, and of those none have been major) but wonder whether I still might still be sabotaging my long term homeopathic treatment by using, for example:- Make up - down to a minimum on work days only but could be suppressing, rather than simply hiding, minor blemishes, Deodorant - using plain old soap and water most of the time but one of those aluminium free crystal thingies on 2 -3 times a week. Sun cream - use an organic product SPF25 on my face only if I'm out and about, but am I simply interfering with my skin's natual ability to cope, rather than protecting it? Are there any other products I should be careful about? Haven't used anti dandruff shampoo for a long time but there are possibly some products still in my bathroom or kitchen that I should just bin. Any pet hates, anyone? |

Dear Pawan,
I didn't attend the seminar. one reason for it is because I had already attended 'Prafuls' seminar prevously and already read all his books. I have no plan to follow him. I have 2 clinic in calicut. One is in city and other is in Ramanattukara, very near to the seminar venue, nearly 2 kms. In kerala there are 2 associations. Iam a member of IHK. Iam not an active participant and usually I attend the seminar conducted by both associations, if seminar is good. I have only accadamic interest, not politics in associations. It was unfortunate to miss a chance to meet you. Where are you practising in Maharashtra? regards, pannakkal

External application will supress skin complaints.
Look for the content of the sun cream. If it contains some chemicals, you can better avoid it. Actually normal skin needs no cream to protect it.

OK Thanks. I keep my use of these products to a minimum but when I don't use sun cream I tend to get mottled patches around my cheekbones which I guess is my skin's natural way of coping but which unfortunately doesn't look too attractive.
However, what I was mainly concerned about was the possibility of slowing down my homeopathic treatment by not allowing potential eruptions to develop in the first place by blocking my skin, or at least altering its natural balance. I'm beginning to look at all skin products with some suspicion. I may be clutching at straws here though (as you'll probably notice from my other posts I'm a long term homeopathic patient with a chronic genetic disease), just hoping that my disease will shift from my inner organs (liver, kidneys, spleen and pancreas) to the skin. Have to wonder why it doesn't seem to be happening for me (e.g. If I take cresol, supposedly to help the kidneys and their multiple cysts and cresol does indeed contain kidney cysts as part of its overall picture, why, then would my kidney cysts not improve?) Probably the reasons are many and various (as I've mentioned in my post on the "Cured Cases" section) and nothing to do with skin care products. |

Thanks Gina,
Some of the remedies I've taken (as advised by my homeopath) have indeed been deeper acting, incl. one or 2 nosodes over the past few years. I just seem to be progressing very very slowly. Lots going on in my case & I'm sure it's very frustrating for my homeopath too. We just haven't found the key yet and in the meantime I'm wondering if there's anything I can possibly do to speed things up. Happy to alter my diet, throw out my cosmetics, change my job etc etc, IF this will lead to a cure. Trouble is, I think my condition had already developed too far before I'd even heard of homeopathy - perhaps nothing will work at this late stage. |
