I am a 30 yr old female, weigh 9.7st don't smoke/drink and am fairly fit. My diet consists mainly of fresh veg, fish and poultry and I avoid red meat, sugar and flour based products inc, bread/pasta/biscuits, etc.. I eat little chocolate and try to get regular exercise. Despite my fairly healthy lifestyle, I have suffered with acne since the age of 18 yrs old and am the only member of my family who does. Over the years I have been prescribed both oral and topical antibiotics, the contraceptive pill and was eventually referred to a dematologist. I took roaccutaine for best part of nine months, and for almost a year after the treatment stopped I became free of acne. However for at least the last two years, my acne has returned, with flare-ups lasting up to six weeks at time with just a couple of weeks inbetween of a clear(ish) complexion. As you can imagine after 12 yrs of suffering with this, I am beginning to feel that I am a lost cause! It has affected my confidence and is beginning to have a negative affect on my social life and relationships.

Lately my outbreaks have worsened, and are particularly bad around the mouth and chin. I am fortunate enough to have never had spots on my cheeks, jawline, neck or back, but right now my T-Zone looks like a dot to dot. To make this worse, the skin around the affected areas has become almost as tough and dry as bootleather and looks cracked, scaly and reddened. In a bid to try and rid myself of this dreadful skin problem, I have been researching the benefits of alternative medicine - but being a total novice am in severe need of guidance.

I have just purchased 30C tablets of the following:

Fluoricum Acidum, Sulphar, Silicea, Pulsitilla Nigricans and Nux Vomica.

However, I have absolutely no idea how I should take these and don't know if they should or shouldn't be taken together or how often. I truly am in need of the advice of someone who has used these remedies for a similar condition, and would love to hear if they helped ease the outbreaks and scaly skin.

Your acne is turned to a chronic skin problem. Whatyou need is a constituitional homoeopathic treatment by a hompath. Self treating will only further complicate your case. There are so many good hompath are in UK. You can contact Ricky in this forum other wise.

sorry to hear of your problem and yes homeopathy can help get rid of your chronic acne. A proper case needs to be taken by a classical homeopath in your area ,so you can be monitored because when the correct homeopathic remedy is found (usually after a long case taking of aprox 2 hours) you will surely get an aggravation ,and this must happen for a healing process to continue.
Also stay away from dairy,sugar,salt,sodas,greasy chips,loads of meat,coffee....eat veggan,lots of fresh veggies,no junk food.
The area indicated "chin/lower portion of your face" is the digestive and reproductive areas of your body (in chinese meds all area's of your face are connected to your organs). The cheeks are the Lungs,nose is your heart...etc.
Using antibiotics is useless a clearing will happen for a short while then it returns,because allopathic meds like antibiotics suppress your problem and do not deal with it directly.Plus the side effects of antibiotics are candida/yeast overgrowth inside your body,this takes years to get rid off.

On another site I came across some cured cases of acne that had used Mother tincture of silica . It is someting you can make and take witha minimum of cost and seems most effective.
I have made some and taken it , out of curiosity. I can vouch for the fact that it has an effectand is not inert.
I post it as a matter of interest.

Here is the way to make silica. I make this medicine to treat the scars of my patients. In most cases it works perfect and in some cases it still works (A step away from perfection)Make Silica at a dry day (No rain and low humidity)1. Find some natural rock pebbles (You can find it in sands to make cement concrete mix). Or you can pick it up from rail line tracks.2. Try to identify the rock pebble (small piece of rock) which is semi transparent) if you can’t find it then any other natural rock will do the job.3. Heat up the stones to expel the moisture.4. Stones should be about 20 grams. 5. Now put the stones on a clean metal surface and beat the stone with hammer. In other way you beat up the rock real fine. 6. When you think you can’t beat up the rock any more you stop.7. Put the powder in a one litter mineral water bottle.8. Shake it and let it settle for 10 minutes.9.
