Hi all , i am 23 male india .
i have been having problem of boils on my scalp since a long time 4 years .
I have tried lots of things but nothing really worked from alopethic to ayurvedic to homeopathic . very recently i had my head clean shaven and also did a biopsy of it . i found the disease to be folliculitis decalvans . I again tried some alopathic treatment but still it reappeared . Can any one plz help me with it .
I have also lost considerable amount of hair .......

Clinical Diagnosis : Folliculitis Decalvans .
section shows an irregurly acanthotic epidermis with overlying basketwave hyperkeratosis . Dermis shows multiple follicular units , some of which show dense perifollicular lymphocytic infiltrate with occasionaly giant cells . dermis also shows presence of moderately dense lymphocytic infiltrate , dilated blood vessels with perivasular lymphocytes . There is no evidence of fibrosis .
Hystopathological diagnosis : Folliculitis Decalvans

The allopath describes a condition and gives that description a name . Leading the innocent to believe that everything that can be known is at his beck and call. But as Hahnemann said these conditions arise from the Vitality and are given all sorts of names by the allopath. Who alleviates with chemicals and eventually creates a chronic incurable condition.
It is an infection - but any infection is due to a weak immune system . A healthy body should shrug it off .
Here there is a need for constitutional , and probably miasmatic treatment .
Giant cells are usually an attribute of Tubeculinum.

sorry to hear of your problems, but sadly as the last post said it is only a allopathic diagnosis,it is useless to a homeopath. one must find the onset/cause of when and how your symptoms started and go through a deep consultation with a classical homeopath. there are many wonderfull homeopaths near you,(india) perhaps someone on line can suggest a nearby homeopathy.

the remedy is not the only question here it is the potency and method of taking in the remedy. i can suggest one thing ....please do not put anything on topically this will suppress the problem and the skin is meant to release toxins.
the healing has to come from inside.

I have the same problem as yours, I have had this problem for about 3 years now, my whole scalp is affected, it's very frustrating and irritating at times. I just ordered this tube, it's called tetrasil today, I don't know how effective it will be but I have read some good reviews on it. www.tetrasil.com

I have been to 3-4 different dermetologists and they have all put me on antibiotics such as monocycline or doxicycline, nothing else. The medecine does keep the bacteria suppressed but it doesn't kill it. If anyone knows of a remedy to help us get rid of this folliculitis, I would really appreciate it. Very much in need of help.


If this tube doesn't do it. I read this ayurvedic remedy online that I might have to try, but's it almost impossible because I don't know if I'll be able to find all these, and if it doesn't work will it be worth putting all the effort into.

I'm in so desperate need of help that I'm willing to do almost anything to get rid of this. Someone please recommend a solution that has worked for them.

Following remedy is suggested by Dr Bhate on one of the yahoo health groups.

This may be taken on empty stomach before breakfast,
only once a day. Add following coarsely ground powders
together in equal quantity by weight. Take 4 tsp
(20-25 gm) powder mixture in 4 cups water (400 ml) and
boil on low heat (simmering heat) till about 0.5 to
0.75 cup (50-75 ml) remains. To know this instant, you
should mark water level in a vessel, while using same
vessel daily.

Herb No. 1,3 are Rasayanas, 2 is a laxative, 4-10 are
to reduce Pitta, purify blood and give cooling effect.
Herb no 10 emits a sweet smell, and boiling should be
only on simmering heat, so that the herb No. 10 does
not burn up. The seet smell should remain till end of
boiling. The dicoction made this way is also useful
to lighten the skin blemishes, lightens the skin tone,
and is antiinflamatory. The herbs 1-3 remove the pitta
separated from blood. After taking this tea, you may
have to visit toilet more than once.

IN addition, if the hair follicules of head skin are
also causing inflamation, mix equally by weight
following herb powders. Take 4 tsp(15-20 gms)mixture
in a cup, add 2 tsp fresh curd and apply the paste at
roots of hair. Wash hair after 1 hour or more in case
the paste does not dry up. The consistency of the
paste may be adjusted to butter consistency by adding
a little water.

12. Trifla powder**
13. Methi seed -Fenugreek-Trigonella foenum graecum
14. Neem leaves - Azadirachta indica
15. Aritha fruit - soap nut - sapindus trifoliatus
16. Jaswanti flower - Hibiscus - rosa sinensis

** Herbal powder No. 12 is equal mixture of herbal
powders of Herb No. 1,2,3.

The paste is well known hair tonic; gives cooling
effect, makes hair grow, smooth, shine and after
prolonged use (along with Aamalki Rasayan
morning-evening), and with following dietary
restrictions, blackens the hair (if partial gray).

Adopt diet which is not pitta promoter. Fried items,
spicy hot items, fermented items, intoxicating drinks,
bakery items, pulses (other than green gram) should be
minimised. Tea coffee after food should be avoided.
Gulkand is very benificial. Drinking tender coconut
water, water in which mixture of powders of cumin
seeds, coriander seeds are soaked for 2-3 hours is
benificial (1 tsp mixture for 200 ml water). Cold
water bath should be adopted. Hip-bath in cold water
tub reduces the heat caused by Pitta significantly
aiding recovery under all inflamatory skin diseases.

For other medical systems it is only a typical local disease. And they will try to suppress it any way by local ointments or combination with multiple remedies. In homoeopathy the approch is totally different. We have to get etails of mind to skin and all the regional symptoms for prescription. Because we consider this disease is of interna origin but manifested only locally. For lasting cure you have to take homoeopathic medicine internally.Anti miasmatic treatmnet is needed here. Passey and tailor already wrote it. So what you do is consult a hompath personally and after detailed case taking he will prescibe you the remedy.

this is medication for an allopathic treatment,you are on a homeopathic discussion forum,acutane is VERRY toxic to one's system,that is against the principles of homeopathy.
