Red face Skin Problem

I have had this skin problem for years but have not found a cure except steroidal creams...but I want to avoid these.

Basically I have these white, crusty, dry, itchy patches on my knees and the back of my ankles(just above the heels). I also have them on three of my knuckles.

It appears as if these are somewhat related to contact of these regions with other objects.

Knees becasue I kneel to pray and knuckles becaue I use their support to get up.

The back of the ankles is due to rubbing against shoes.

It appears that theses areas of contact are the only ones affected.

These crusts also crack with minor bleeding. I also feel like scratching the hell out of it. When I scratch I feel relief with the result of bleeding.

Hope you can prescribe somthing.

I did try Sulphur 200 once a week for two months, It helped in a way that the itching and bunring was signifacntly reduces but the patches are still there.

Also, I would like to add that I have these streaks across my finger nails which was diagnosed by several skin specialists as longitudinal melanch*** (sp?) Anyway they say this is normal for dark skinned people. Its just pigmentation. It just looks silly and has no functional effect. But just thought I mention this as it is skin related.

What strenght do you suggest for Graphites and what daily frequency?

For instance Sulphur works best early in the morning before brushing teeth and in high potencies over a long time. Not sure about graphites?

Graphites may help my dandruff also...

Default miasms

From a miasmatic point of view it may be a good idea to follow Sul with Psorinum - the trouble is not contact - it is an internal problem that will only be made worse in the long run, by the external application of anything.

Thanks Passkey...

By the way I did try Graphites but it started showing effects of graphites itself so I stopped using it. Did not help the skin problem. Sulphur on the other hand, I have observed, tends to sooth the areas, at least th itching is reduced significantly.

I will try Psorinum, but what potency?

I hear around 200 hundred is good but not often. I may just take on dose of two hundred and see what happens. or Should I try 30 for a day or two?

Thanks.

P.S. Is application of sulphur cream helpful??

Default avoid application of sulphur

i am sorry
i was away and could not stay in touch
graphite u should have used in 200
first four doses 12 hourly
and remaing six doses once in a day
i dont know which potency u used and what did u get
as for as sulphur ointment etc is concerned it is suggest to avoid external application of sulphur as it supresses the symptoms and cure might become difficult
u may also follow the advice of other if u r not comfortable with sulphur i shall be seeing ur reply and see if i need to give u furthur suggestion
love and regards

Actually I did use Graphites 200 ...I used it almost as you have described But I started observing Graphites symptoms(such as boil on tip of tongue ect, metallic smell from myself) rather than an improvement in the skin condition, so I discontinued it.

I want to try Psorinum to see what happens, I will just take one 200 dose and see the effect.

What do you think??

Trying one medicine after another in hectic manner will not cure you, but will only complicate the case. The best thing is to undergo treatment under personal attention of a good hompath in the neighbouring area. So that he can see your case and prescribe. The sulph, Graph,Psorinum,Petr etc are differentiated not only the skin basis, but several other factors like thermal reactions, physical generals. mentals etc. The potencies and repetition are also important.

Coud you refer a good homeopath in/near Palghat in Kerala? There is a patient with Breast Ca (operated), who has a lot of other problems and needs to be seen regularly.
