Default Homeopathic Feline Heartworm Treatment

Hello,
I am new. Our Cat is 6 years old. She has just been diagnosed with Feline Heartworm. I have been researching current FDA approved medications. Prednisone consistenly comes up. I was wondering if there is any one who is familiar with a homeopathic or holistic approach to Feline Heartworm. Also, I am in process of reading up on specific diets to boost her immune system. So, I would love some input on the issue.

Thanks
