Default rescued dog's anxiety

I rescued a dog that had been in the woods starving when she was found. She's a 2 year old, 15 lb. terrier and I've had her 7 months. I love her and she is an excellent dog, with one big exception---I can't leave her alone. If I do, she scratches the paint off the door and digs into it, then she is sick the rest of the day, won't eat and only wants to eat green things outside. So I take her everywhere or find someone to stay with her---I really could use a remedy that would calm her down or get her to take a little nap. Any thoughts?
