We rescued a pregnant feral and 4 of her 5 kittens are very wobbly - they are 5 weeks old now. The smallest is the worst, can barely stand. We do not have any info about where the mother came from and received her a week before birth. This problem is called cerebellar ataxia; it's thought to be caused by a very similar virus as distemper or perhaps by the vaccine to the mother?

This is another name for the wobbly kitten syndrome...
I have a cat that is 7 months old now.... she can't walk....just falls over....and I think she is blind or at least visually impaired... Anyone have any thoughts on homeopathic treatment.... Remedies, Potency and Frequency... Other than what I mentioned her most pronounced symptom is striking at imaginary objects. Any and all help would be appreciated Thank you |

Hi!~~
I just adopted a kitten with CH myself..he's about 4 months old now..there's a really fantastic group out there..Welcome to the CH Kitty Club Everyone in the group owns a kitty with this condition, and there's so much useful information and support...I have found it so helpful that I visit the site at least once a day...I do know that several members do go the holistic route, so would definitely be beneficial for you to take a look! From what I understand, very very often cats with this condition may also present with some visual impairment..but I would be very encouraged by reading some of the posts/stories/tips on the site...seems most seem to compensate for their condition! Good luck! ![]() |
