New Member here, I apologize if I'm opening a thread that has been explained earlier.
I have a 17 yr 11 month female tabby, Zora, who was just dignosed with hyperthyroidism. Her symptoms are similar to Magic (01/2007 thread).
My problem is she resists any type of oral medication - pill, liquid (eyedropper or syringe) after a day or two - she'll hide and not come out until she knows you are not in a position to have the medication within reach.
Is there a plain homeopathic transdermal cream base available that I could add the remedies I need to?
FYI, Zora was born a stray, but a woman watched over the litter and found homes for the kittens - I got her at @ 8 weeks. I had some male cats when she was younger, but she has been an only cat for almost 16 years and seems to like it that way.
She is definitely a 1 person animal. She does not like change and hides when visitors are around. She likes females better than men. She is usually very vocal, especially when I’m on the phone. Most of her life she was quiet and passive at the vet until about 2 years ago when she started getting vocal with the animal care personnel, (it is her protest - I don't like this tone) although she is still pretty cooperative and passive. She will vocalize more with the female workers, but she has started giving the males a piece of her mind, too.
Any recomendations will be welcome.
