Default dwarf hamster with a swellen leg

hello i have a dwarf hamster with a swollen leg I'm not too sure how he got it maybe with my female(trying to breed her) they got a little physical once and i took them both out but i may have been too slow or he did it on his wheel only two things i can think of that he done that. he has the ovo habitrail cage the wheel seems pretty well done. so my question is should i just let him be? i took everything out of his cage that he can do such as wheel and climbing stuff. any help on this would be great.
