Talking Picky Kitty

I got my kitty, Ella for Valentine's Day last year from my boyfriend. She was abandoned and we adopted her at 3 months old. She's such a sweetheart, but a little crazy at times! lol....

Anyways, I can't get her to eat anything other than dry food, it doesn't matter what kind. But when she eats, she bites the bits in half and leaves the pieces in the bowl and refuses to eat them...i was just wondering if anyone knew why she does that??

Also, she is spoiled rotten, but I can't give her treats or anything because she won't eat them...but the other day i made a salad and caught her stealing the lettuce out of the salad bowl and putting it in her food bowl...and she ate it! Is it ok for me to give her lettuce? She goes crazy trying to get some whenever we have salad, but i don't want to give her anything that will make her sick.

Thanks

Hi JenJen,

No problem she eats salad, cats do need some vegies (normaly they find that in the wild in the stomachs of there prey). Maybe you can try if she likes some cooked vegetables, I had a cat who loved cucumbers, melon and other vegetables. Dry food is better for there teeth anyway and treats make them fat.
So, don't worry

Mirjam
