Default New here, and Feline UTI question

Hello!

I'm new here, and looking forward to learning more about homeopathic treatment for my kitties.

My sister manages a traditional veterinary clinic, and my niece is a new vet. I hope to let both of them know about this site so they can become more aware of homeopathic treatment, its benefits, and how it might fit in with their respective veterinary practices.

Here's where I stand with my own animals right now...

I currently have three kitties in residence: TJ, a 14 year-old Bengal male: Stevie, a 4 year-old DSH male; and Gidget, a 1 year-old DSH famale recently adopted after we found her starving and wandering the neighborhood. I want to be the best Momcat I can be, and I hope to find a wealth of information here.

Both of the boys have had either UTIs or Cystitis. I welcome any advice you can give me about how to treat these conditions, and how to prevent them in the future.

I have already read Wim's comments about treating aging kitties, and I will be doing my homework to see if I have any additional questions about how to give my 14 y/o the best possible care in the autumn and winter of his life.

A quick run down on their diet:
My kitties have been on the EVO diet by Innova for a few years now. The 4 y/o male will not touch canned food, but he will eat the dry. 14 y/o male and the 1 y/o female both eat the canned and nibble on the dry.

TJ, my 14 y/o has also had issues with constipation, but it seems to have improved dramatically since I have been adding organic canned pumpkin to the EVO canned food in a ratio of two heaping tablespoons to one 15 oz. can.

Thank you for taking the time to read my first post. I look forward to getting to know you!
