my kitten woke up with one water eye (right). He cannot open it all the way. I don't know how it got this way. He has no other symptoms. Everything else is normal.

Thank you

If the condition (simple lachrymation ?) doesn`t get back to normal soon you can try Allium cepa 6c or 12x, one tablet or a few pellets 3 times daily for a few days until improved.

Hello wim

My kitten's eye improved instantly after I gave her a dose of Allium cepa which I gave to him 19 hours ago. It is no longer watery but it is still not opening normally. Sometimes he has it closed while the other one is opened. I gave her the Allium cepa in 30c because that is what I have in my remedy kit and It will take two weeks to get if I ordered it in 6c. I don't think his eye could have waited that long. It looked really bad. I was afraid he could lose his sight.

I think the kitten is allergic to windy weather. LOL

When he got a fever, it was windy and now he got this eye problem on a very windy day that was full of debri flying around. I don't know if it's just a coincidence.

What is your suggestion about his lid still not opening correctly?

Thank you for your help.

Hello Pat,

You can continue the Allium cepa for a while, but in case you suspect there`s a small particle of dust etc. in the eye you should also bathe the eye with a diluted solution of Euphrasia 3-4 times daily until improvement.

The solution is prepared by placing 2 ml (4-5 drops) of the mother tincture (MT) in 200 ml of cooled boiled water or distilled water.
You can use a plastic syringe to gently bathe/flush the eye.

wim

How often can I give the kitten the Allium Cepa 30c. So far I gave him one dose on Friday, two doses on Saturday, and one on Sunday.

Today his eye is not opening all the way and I can see dry liquid on the inner corner of his eye. I don't know if I need to give him more Allium Cepa 30c.Thank you

Hi Pat,

Stop the Allium cepa and give (internally) Euphrasia 30c, 3 times daily until improvement. You can bathe/flush the eye with the Euphrasia dilution I mentioned earlier as well.

Hello wim

The kitten's eye recovered greatly with the Euphrasia 30c. I gave him two doses on April 9. I didn't give him anymore after that because the following day, I could see a great improvement. Today, his eye looks almost the same as the other eye. He may have about 10 percent more to reach normal.

Thank you for making yet another miracle.

Glad your cat's eye is allright, Pat. I think sometimes they scratch their own eyes with their claws when they wash their faces. Kittens more so than adult cats - adults have more experience.

William, we have NO source of mother tinctures in the USA. Well, I have not found any, and I've spent a lot of time looking. I am assuming that they are not approved for use in this country, but I have not actually checked into that.

We would have to order from Helios. I can't remember if Ainsworth's has them or not.

This Dutchman has to know it all.......hasn`t he ?...........now more seriously .....Euphrasia is called Eyebright in your country.....best is to type the words : euphrasia eyebright in Google search box and you`ll see !

MT`s can be ordered from both Helios UK and Ainsworths UK. They can be ordered online from the USA as well, but perhaps not all of them. See posts below !

Also see Classified Ads Forum for ordering online.
