I think so.......perhaps occasionally.....I`d explain it like this......the girth is a leather or cloth strap that is fastened around the middle of the horse to keep the saddle....so if the girth is (imaginary) loose anything odd, rum, strange etc. can happen.....Tracy....I`m afraid we`re getting too old for keeping up with modern idiom/vocabulary...... Well, sounds like you are holding your own, Wim.

Guess I'll have to talk to my horsey friends more, instead of talking to the cat.

Girthyness means that the horse is shying away or acting out when the girth is tightend. This horse is in no way ever mistreaten or manhandled, ever. I have had this horse for 8yrs and he has never had any behavior issues untill he was diagnosed with Lyme. He never gave the classic symptoms of stiffness, pain fever etc. Only girthyness and unwilling to load or ridden bareback.
I have called several places in the US to try and order the nosode without any luck. I think I will have to order through the link you sent. So far I have done the Ledum and he seems much happier. I just worry about my dogs getting lyme so would like to start them on the prevention. Thanks for your helm Wim.

"girthyness" is another term used to describe cold backed. Cold backed referrce to a horse that has a sore back or is sensitive to the girth.

This site will tell you more about cold backed in horses.
