More troubles! Please let me know what you think. We had quads at 4:00 a.m. yesterday , it is now 6:30 p.m. next day.
The mother goat isn't sick but I did use B-complex and cmpk yesterday. Today I was able to put the Miracle baby back in (she almost died from aspiration) but several hours later had to hold the doe so that she could nurse.
But now, we have one of the 4 with frothy white diarrhea. I called the vet and he just thinks they are not getting enough to eat , and might be dehydrated. he said they are too young to have worms?
this little buck is not hungry. does not have a fever and seems quite weak. I gave him 1/2 cc b-complex and tried to bottle feed him but he just lets it run out of his mouth. Also gave him a dose of Carbo Veg 30c. He can stand but is not at all protesting that he is in the house.
what should I do?

Give this baby goat : Baryta carbonica 30c (or 30k), twice a day till improved. This remedy is used for general treatment of the runt of the litter or weak baby animals.

Still don't have the Barta (I need to order it) Whew this kidding thing can get out of hand... my normal day is 7:00 a.m. to midnight NON STOP especially when problems.

The babies are doing well this is a miracle.
I am still tube feeding one but he does not have any more diarrhea ...

I am concerned about Mom though. Do you want me to start a new thread for her or go forth on this post?

Her problem seems to be that she is very sluggish and I don't see her chewing her cud enough. She will eat grain and maybe I am over reacting.
The babies that I left with her seem o.k. (one had bad diarrhea and the consensis is that the babies were over eating)..
She lies down a lot and maybe (just maybe) that is because she knows she has too much milk and the babies should not have so much.

Baryta carbonica 30c is a very important remedy to have on hand in your situation with so many animals and it is even sometimes an actual life saver !

It`s best (less confusing) to start a new thread for each individual sick animal.

I believe we are on a roll (: As a herd owner, I am now going to calm
down and try to breath. We almost lost two out of three (no ! actually, it was three out of 4)...the first was the baby that could not move and did not breath (she now is beating up her brother hee hee).
HER NAME IS "MIRACLE"

The second and third babies (and I did not know this) (I am only into this full time for 2 1/2 yrs.), had evidentally over eaten! I was told to give alopahic vaccine (C&D antitoxin) orally and also subQ. I used b-complex also as well as a tiny bit of toxiban (charcoal and kayo)...

Had to tube feed the buckling a few times because he was starting to show distress.

But now all four and Mom are giving me a lot of hope. No diarrhea, everyone is eating, and I actually had breakfast! (:
