I have a kidding question. I don't really see any major problem at the moment with Lady but the mucous plug is coming out and yet she is just taking her time. I think she is just spending a lot of time juggling the kids around... just alerting you and making a new post for Lil' Wim (:

She is bright enough especially after I gave her magic (1 pt. molasses, 1 part corn oil, 2 parts kayro syrup).. I also gave her cmpk.

I am going out now to do chores and hopefully she will get going. I am going to pray hard that we have no complications.

Congratulations with the new additions to the family ! Baby goats get the same remedy/remedies as the mother from the mother`s milk....so no need to give them any. Only runts of the litter may need a remedy (often Baryta carbonica)when they are very weak.....and yes.... of course little Wim is beautiful !!!

I would think the afterbirth should pass within an hour or then I would be a little concerned about it. Do goats eat it like dogs and cats? Some animals eat the afterbirth soon after so if goats do eat it and you are not watching you may not see it.
