Continuation Pulsatilla :
Even in hot weather Pulsatilla will drink very little and her appetite can be capricious, sometimes going more than a day between meals. She loves cold foods and will happily chew ice and eat ice cream, though the latter may upset her stomach, as do all rich foods, especially fats. Pulsatilla usally dislikes being left alone and may even be destructive. She will sulk too, but the changeability inherent in the Pulsatilla picture means that it is short-lived and as quickly as she became sullen, so too can Pulsatilla return to to being bright and cheerful. Pulsatilla loves company and feels insecure on her own, so will follow her owner like a shadow, wherever she may go in the house. Given the chance she`ll sleep on the owner`s bed or in the comfort of an armchair. Pulsatilla makes a wonderful mother, so much that she is prone to phantom pregnancies where she will make a nest, take toys to bed and produce large quantities of milk enough to feed a whole litter. The mammary glands may be very swollen. So Pulsatilla is timid, soft, gentle, submissive and yielding, loves affection, has little thirst but a digestive system which is sensitive to rich foods. to be continued Wim

Continuation Pulsatilla :
As I mentioned earlier a Pulsatilla is frequently a bitch. She is often dark-haired. A male Pulsatilla type is different to a female Pulsatilla type. The Pulsatilla male dog very much matches the Phosphorus type. The difference is that the Pulsatilla male is insecure and the Phosphorus type is cheeky. The Pulsatilla male dog is sociable, sometimes even very intrusive and doesn`t understand the difference between male dogs and bitches. One notable aspect in the male pulsatilla is a copious purulent discharge from the foreskin, when there`s absolutely no question of hypersexuality. The Pulsatilla male dof is also a moderate eater and drinker. Modalities : Worse from heat, a stuffy atmosphere, when resting and lying on the left side. Better in the open air when it is cold, dry and fresh and better from gentle movement. to be continued Wim

Continuation for Pulsatilla :
Main uses Pulsatilla (animals) : -- Problems associated with fertility and parturition. -- Inflammation of the prostate gland. -- Ear infections with a creamy, often offensive-smelling discharge. -- Sore gums and apparently aching or painful teeth. -- Increased urination, without any noticeable increase in thirst, causing incontinence, particularly in neutered females. -- Wet eczematous lesions and urticaria due to irritation or allergic reactions. -- Chronic nasal catarrh with a bland yellow-greenish discharge from the nose and possibly the eyes too. These discharges on the whole are non-irritant and don`t tend to scald or excoriate the surrounding tissues. Pulsatilla is an important polychrest (or polycrest) and exerts its action on many parts of the body, especially the mucous membranes and the female reproductive organs. A polychrest is a remedy which affects all or nearly all the tissues of the body (of people/animals), has a wide variety of symptoms and its curative power reaches deep into the anatomy. It`s equally useful in acute and chronic disorders. Wim

Thanks Julie,
It`s a pity I can only explain a few of them, since there are so many remedies which are also very important for animals......just imagine this Pulsatilla explanation is only a small part of the things that can be told about this remedy ! Wim

Yes, there are......a constitutional remedy is one whose sphere of action extends over the whole physical and mental make-up of a person or an animal.
