Default Use of Hypericum 200c/200k in horses.

Main use : Nerve damage.

Hypericum 200c (or 200k) is indicated for injuries to nerves with severe pain. Crushed, trapped or severed nerves call for Hypericum 200.

It is of particular use in mares when the pelvic nerves are damaged following the delivery of a large foal.

This remedy is antiseptic and is of great value in puncture wounds (esp. when given with or alternated with Ledum 6c or 6k) where it may prevent tetanus, relieves the pain and reduces infection.

Also keep Hypericum in mind for injuries from barbed wire or wounds from splinters.

So this remedy is of prime importance in the treatment of lacerated wounds where nerve-endings are damaged and also in spinal injuries, esp. of the coccygeal area it often shows excellent results.

Given early it helps prevent spread of the toxin along the nerve-sheath.

The pain of open wounds is quickly dispelled by this remedy and externally Hypericum mother tincture, or even better, Hypercal mother tincture can/should be used diluted 1 part to 10 (distilled water or cooled boiled water) and applied to the affected area 2-3 times daily.

So it`s possible and often better to use Hypericum both internally and externally !

Dosage for the Hyp. 200 is : one dose (1 dose for a horse is 4 tablets or 6 larger pellets/pillules), 3 times daily for a few days.

Hypercal is a combination of Hypericum mother tincture (called MT or Q) and Calendula mother tincture (MT/Q)
