Default (Some) Homeopathy for Tropical Fish

Sometimes tropical fish develop a film over their eyes and often they will die after a few days.

For this problem you can give Silicea 30c or 30k or Calcarea fluorica 30c or 30k.

For building up the body during illness or debility you can give your fish Phosphoric acidum 6c or 30c (or 6k or 30k) or China (=Cinchona) officinalis 6c or 30c (or 6k or 30k).

Both remedies are very helpful for this purpose.

Dose every day by putting 10-20 drops (depending on the size of your tank/aquarium) of the liquid remedy into the water (daily !) for several days (i.e. 6-10 days approx.) until you see a distinct amelioration (improvement). If you can`t obtain the liquid form of the remedies,it is also possible to dissolve some pellets in some water and place the dilution in your tank.

Unfortunately not all diseases in tropical fish can be treated homeopathically.

Hello Sajjad,

Yes....that`s right. And since homeopathic remedies diffuse into water it is also possible to use them in conjunction with allopathic/conventional medicine or in some cases instead of it.

Not easy of course to prescribe `constitutionally` for fish or perhaps only for the collegues who have established a good feel for fish constitutional manifestations...haha ! We could say that `in water` treatment in this manner takes on a new meaning !

However, it remains very important that new fish of any kind should undergo a period of quarantine before joining others in the main tank/aquarium in order not to introduce some new infection or condition !

Aquarium/Tropical fish need to be quarantined for 2-4 weeks approx. in a separate tank. Many such fish e.g. koi are expensive to buy and this is another reason to keep the main aquarium free from infection.

Regards, Wim

Dear william,

Thank you for providing valuable informations.
Do you think that allopathic and conventional medicines can be used freely or only in emergency in conjection with homeopathic medicines for human being also.

Hello sajjad,

You`re welcome !

As you already know of course it`s sometimes necessary to use allopathic (conventional) medicine because homeopathy unfortunately can`t cure everything. Neither can allopathy !

Often we use homeopathy and allopathy simultaneously, if possible and/or necessary, depending also on the suppressive action of the allopathic medicine, i.e. cortisone, for example, which often shows a very suppressive action.

In other words some allopathic drugs can make hom. remedies less active or not work at all, simply because a homeopathic remedy is supporting natural processes and biological intelligence, whereas allopathic/conventional medicine is suppressing both.

Many times, though, remedies will still be effective and since they don`t negatively affect allopathic medicine, they can be used together.

I often say allopathy and homeopathy should work hand in hand, because neither of them can do it alone !

Dear William,
In actual practice, there are rare chances that the patient relies entirely on homeopathic remedies. More or less every patient uses allopathic drugs in conjunction with homeopathic medicines probably due to lack of quick response of homeopathic medicines.

People use cortisone, antibotics, vitamins, herbal preparations and supplements to ease the present complaint. No doubt, it suppresses the disease and we cannot force them to stop allopathy at once... soon as the condition is under control of homeopathy, we can advise them to minimise the use of allopathic drugs.

Some times allopathic drugs entirely retard the action of homeopathic medicines. In these circumstances it is not possible to access the right or wrong selection of the homeopathic medicines. These are the difficulties which we are facing in day to day practice.

It is also nature of every patient that he wants quick and long lasting relief. During treatment they have to move to the hospital. In these circumstances should we continue homeopathic medicines or stop them altogether when the patient demands their use also.

How can we access that they are getting benefit of homeopathy also.

Do you have some solution or suggestion to this problem.
sajjad.

Yes...Sajjad....for chronic cases it`s true that many patients also (have to) use allopathic medicines but let`s not forget the huge number of acute cases often cured by homeopathy only concerning people/animals who get ill for the first time and when I say this I refer to animal cases as well of course. Unfortunately we are never sure beforehand what kind of suppressive action will be presented by allopathic medicine when prescribing homeopathy, but fortunately homeopathy will work anyway in most cases ! It`s always a real challenge to solve a case anyway !
