Default New Agression In Cats

Hi,

This is my first attempt in utilizing your wonderful set, so here it goes.

I own a 4 1/2 year old beautiful ragdoll mother cat who is normally a extremely good natured, well behaved house cat. We also have 3 kittens, half himalyn/ragdoll from the mother cat (two girls - one male) , 2 1/2 years of age who are also very well behaved housepets, normally. All are fixed.

All cats respect the mother in pecking order, although the mother tends to discipline the large male more so than the females. Perhaps a bit a jealous, or territorial.

Yesterday morning the mother cat took a 190 degree turn in temperment and became extremely aggressive to all of her kittens. She initiated fights with whomever crossed her path. This has terrified the littler who are now confused and upset. The mother cat is fine with me and our children.

I separated them and gave the mother a homepathic treatment of nux - waited 1/2 hour and let her return to the family but she remained aggressive. I separated her overnight and tried to reintroduce her this morning but she is still behaving aggressive and is initiating fighting.

Two hours ago, I gave them all some "catnip" and one treatment of a homeopathic remedy of "aconite" as per an old reference book I have.

I am at a loss of how to handle this. I would appreciate any recommendations.
