Question Dog with drooping left side of face

My 8 year old Malamute/Chocolate Lab mix suddenly had a severe loss of control/drooping of the left side of his face about a year ago. This involved copious drooling and severe sagging (paralysis) below the eye, and of the lips. I treated him with Grapeseed extract 1 cap 3x per day for 4 weeks. The symptoms almost completely disappeared with the exception of a slight droopiness of the lips on that side. No other part of his body seemed to be affected. His personality was a little slower, but seemed improved after herbal treatment. The question is, a few months ago I noticed a mild return of those symptoms. I am wondering what else I might do. Although he did not exhibit all the Human signs of a stroke, (no noticable limb paralysis), I believe this is what he had. I am unable to take him to a vet for tests, and would not want to put him on the pharmaceutical poisons anyway. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Homeopathy or herbal suggestions would be welcome as well as opinions for possible causes. Thank you!

Elizabeth

If you believe it was a stroke, Arnica 6c three times daily for up to a week could be worth a try.

Sending reiki.

Thank you, Muriel. I did get a treatment regimen from another forum, which also recommended the Arnica. I suppose I should have updated my request.

I am now studying homeopathy. Well, I am studying as best I can until I can afford to take the coursework through an accredited school. I'm hoping to be able to add a knowledge of Homeopathy to my 30 years of study in Herbology.

Again, Thank You for your reply. And the Reiki!

Regards,

Elizabeth
