The shuddering is a fear response, again no worries and nothing to fix. [ 07. January 2004, 21:12: Message edited by: kkrista ] |

Thanks, I'm so worried for the poor little thing & she doesn't know it.
Her shakiness is not trembling, but more "palsy-like". She's better today in that now she'll play with her mousie & is climbing up her branch and moving around more in front of me. I guess she's feeling stronger now that she has access to the 5 ft. up window in her little room with her new branch. Now she sits up there and threatens me when I enter. [ 08. Palsy-like shaking could be due to past exposure of Feline Panleukopenia as a kitten. Generally as they grow they will learn to compensate for the wobbles, but sometimes you will see it reappear at times of stress. Just a guess, I would suspect if it was new and due to illness, the cat would be quite sick and sounds like she is doing better.

Willo's coming along, climbing her log, not hiding or hissing as much. She is not shaky. She's allowing me to apply ointment to her eye now without hissing or hiding. Her appetite and digestion have always been good. She often meows at me now and licks her lips when I come in with food. Hair loss has stopped and may be filling in. Her little eye still gets gummy; I will continue ointment till this tube runs out and then I think I'll give it a break. I'v been rinsing her eye with eyewash to which I added EUPH30, maybe I should add (or switch to) CALENDULA?

I believe Euphr is usually indicated in very watery, irritated eyes. Rather than add a remedy for the one symptom, I would take the whole case again (including eye symptom) and treat the whole complex. Seeing as she has already been given numerous remedies and other than the discharge, appears healthy and doing well, why not give her immune system the chance to chuck it on her own?
Adding to the eye wash, may actually be changing the chemical component of it, rendering the solution useless or even perhaps irritating. Don't dose together, rather seperately, hours apart if you need to do the both. Glad to hear that she is coming around! |

Thanks for the support, I'm going to finish this tube of eye oinment, in a couple of days.
I'll just wash her eye (plain eye-wash), as needed, and give everything a rest. See what picture emerges. She actually yelled at me last night when I brought her dinner - I guess I was late. I think it's a good sign that she's speaking to me in her language - and not only hissing.

Willo PURRED!!! for the first time, a couple of days ago.
She now loves being petted, only if she's up in her window, above me - she feels safer up there. So I stand on a stool and brush & pet her. I'm so happy that she's purring. So I'm going to wait a bit on remedies since she's getting better. [ 25. January 2004, 05:53: Message edited by: Lyndee DeMeo ]

Willo's better daily. She purrs & loves to play. Her remaining eye (left) is still watery, it looks as if part of the upper eyelid was eaten away by infection. She also has a bit of a runny nose, mainly left nostril. Her vision seems good, hope it stays that way, I'm worried about the watery & gumminess.

lyndee, all the while there is improvement don't medicate at all.
it could be that in time a dose of sulfur will be of use for this aminal. you might like to order in stock some sulfur LM1, as i think it can take some time to order in your part of the world. if you can't obtain it in america, you can order it from freemans in glasgow, over the internet, also helios in england. best, anna |

I have Sulph200c in stock. I agree, all the time she's improving, I'm waiting.
No Rabbies vaccine yet, my vet will probably insist when he sees her again; so I'll keep her isolated at home for now. Her fur is growing back on outer thighs and sides. However, it's still thin on inner & back thighs. I also notice a little sore(s) on her left thigh, under her butt. So it's sounding like Sulph. She's more affectionate daily, happy to see me and wanting to be touched. It's really rewarding. [ 14. February 2004, 02:16: Message edited by: Lyndee DeMeo ]
