If someone could help out here I'd appreciate it. About 3 weeks to a month ago my cocker spaniel mix who is about 11 years old had severe thrombocytopenia. She also started to have heart murmur which she never had before and had developed a rather large cyst/tumor on the neck area. I had given her on my own 200 carcinosin when I saw the tumor and when I found out she was hemorraghing internally I gave her a dose of phosphorus 200C b/c honestly I thought she was going to die she was in that bad of shape. Wasn't eating, not walking, not responding, extremely labored breathing. Well the good news is she has responded almost miraculously. Her platelet count at its worst was 10,000. I had contacted a homeopathic vet and he told me to give her 6 more doses of the carc every third day and 10 more doses of the phos 200c once a day for 10 days to get her platelet count up. Meanwhile the traditional vet had her on pred and had told me she was gonna be on it a looooong time. My problem is my husband was laid off and I don't have the money to keep getting folowups here so if anybody could help I 'd appreciate it b/c we 've come a long way in saving this dog. Ten days ago her platelet count was rechecked and it was up 570,000..not quite in the normal range but moving up. Yesterday she had blood drawn and the results today are her platelets are at 925,000!!!! The vet says I don't understand this. Meanwhile I do. The problem is her heart murmur is worse. It's screaming. So could this be an aggravation from the phosphorous? Can anybody recommend a remedy for this. Normally I'd call the homeopathic vet back and I will if I have to but if somebody here can help first I'd appreciate it. She's doing so good now. The traditional vet is reducing the pred down to a half a pill once a day. Everything else is good. Her appetite, she's playful, not labored in her breathing but you can feel this murmur in her chest....it's really bad and the vet yesterday said it was worse and he's concerned. He wants to do a sonogram but I can't afford that right now. I was reading that cactus grandiflorus was a good heart remedy along with a few others. I have spongia on hand and carbo veg and of course arnica and rumex. Can anyone help here to get this mumur to go away or at least reduced? Oh yes the tumor which was the size of an egg is gone!!!!

Dear Dessie,
How are you?!
HOpe your cocker spaniel is doing better. We'll wait to hear what's the latest.
I think you need to seriously check whether the internal Haemorrhaging is still continuing or not, as that woudl explain the heart murmur (severe anaemia) growing louder.
Hope this helps,
doctorleela
