HArd and immovebale could mean a Ca (probably metastised). Moveable lump could mean Tuberculosis. DOn't get bogged down and depressed with the diagnosis, though I know how hard it is to accept, there's not much we can do about that. The remedy does not change. If we can keep him comfortable and maintian vital parameters, we're doing good. And if it is Kochs, we could expect a good reponse. Give him a dose of phos 30 (only 1 dose) and we'll see. ALl the best. doctorleela [ 25. July 2003, 09:46: Message edited by: doctorleela ]

I'm going to vet now. It's very hard & knotty, deep in groin. His energy is better, he's peeing & hungry - yet can't eat much. He's crying at me w/ his poor, nearly inaudible voice. If Dr. says he's in pain we may have to let him go. I hate this decision.
Sorry to report that my Yello is gone. It appears that he had a huge (orange size) mass for some time. It ruptured thru the abdominal muscles and he could barely use hind legs. Vet felt he was in pain and there was no hope. So we put him next to his buddy Willee. Thanks for all your help & support. [ 26. July 2003, 02:06: Message edited by: Lyndee DeMeo ]

No, I'm sorry, I didn't give him the Phos.
I was so distressed about the enormity of that growth and his quickly failing physical condition. After what I went thru with Willee, following the vets advice to remove his colon; then watching him slowly die for four months - trying everything possible. Well, I couldn't bear to do that again. Besides, the vet gave me little hope. Also, we almost have bankrupted ourselves having gone into $4000+ debt trying to save Willee. The nite before my husband found the huge lump on Yello he had a sweet dream: In it Yello was sitting next to Willee with his arm around Willee's shoulder, like the buddies they were. So we feel they are together again. Again, thank you for all your caring & help.
