Well, something may have helped him, at least he is still comfortable today. The Ant t was about 24 hours before any improvement, however. We'll see if he begins to put on some weight now. Thanks again, gpm.

Antim tart seems to have helped. Maybe if you had given a few more doses, he would have been better faster. (My experience.)

Yes, and I thank you Leela for the suggestion of Ant tart. The only reason he didn't get more doses was because I had to be gone a lot.

It's funny, I have to eye-dropper it into his mouth (or I guess I could rub it onto his ears,) but so I have these little bottles of Rat Ant t, Rat Arnica, etc around....

Very glad to hear the hairless little guy is feeling better. I think it's great you have a pet rat. Does make you realize how wonderful are all creatures, great and small.

In the future if you are unable to dose repeatedly and if he will drink from a hanging water bottle, it's a thought to put the remedy in that so he will get a dose each time he drinks for a limited time. That could present some problems too, if he drank too often.

Unfortunately nothing seems to continue helping him. (And yes, rats are a wonderful pet, very affectionate and highly intelligent. Time Magazine said they can be taught to do over 40 consecutive tasks!)

Barb sent me a message on the General Forum (called Kescah- immediate attention!) that would be of interest to anyone who is interested in the welfare of rodents. Something for the mycoplasma, as it appears to be called, and also for their tumors- which so many of them get.
