Unhappy

Today, when Patti went in to have her drain removed, they had to clean out more pus. This, despite having the wound flushed daily and being on 2 antibiotics.

I gave Patti 3 hepar sulf 200c Friday when they arrived by UPS - spaced about 4 hours apart.

Sunday I gave her one pill, Tuesday (yesterday) I gave her one pill. She had one arnica 200c last night. I gave her a full dose of arnica 200c after her surgery today. I will give her one dose of hepar sulf 200c tomorrow unless I hear otherwise from this bb.

If Patti's abcess comes back in the next few days, I am not going to put her through any more surgeries. It's not fair to her to put her through pain week after week.

Thanks for all your help and prayers. I'll keep you posted.

So very sorry to hear this about Patti. Maybe GM will have a suggestion for another remedy that will better help her. Or maybe the Hep 200 that has been given just needs a little more time.

I really do hope that GM does reply soon! I need to know if I should continue hepar sulf. in any way, and if there is anything else I could be doing for her.

Patti is so bouncy! I think it must be a relief to have that drain removed. She was eating greens and pellet a few hours after her surgery. She also doesn't have the irritation to her skin from constant dampness. Already her skin looks 100% better to me, and the fur is getting softer.

She's so alive! How can she be so sick and yet be so bouncy and happy? Now I really don't know what to do. I can't remember being in such a difficult position before as regards a companion animal. Usually the illness is so plain and the pain so obvious that making the decision to let go makes sense.

Sigh.

One of the things that happens with homeopathy is the sense of well being comes first. I've had animals start to act very normal after a remedy even though their condition (fever, abscess, etc.) still appears as a problem. It may be the indicator that Patti is on the way to recovery. Or that there is another remedy needed. As long as she is feeling well and is eating, hold off on any drastic move and see how this progresses.

GM (anyone!), will have some advice on what to do next!

Thank you so much for your reply! What do you mean when you say it will grow nicely? Do you mean that it will heal?

I did repeat the hepar sulf today (I was gone for Thanksgiving). Patti is so much more active today than she has been in weeks! I am holding my breath, hoping not to have the pus come back... My little girl has so much life!

Again, thanks. I'll keep you posted.

I wanted to let you know that Patti seems to be developing more pus. What should I do now?

I just took a good look at her chin, and now I can't feel any swelling at all! I'm almost afraid to hope.... I've had so many times when I've hoped and it has come back....

Should I repeat the hepar any more?
