Exclamation Need to hear from successful flax/cottage cheese cases, esp. feline.

Our 17-year old cat, an extremely important member of our family, is struggling with tumors. I have been trying to get him to eat the flaxseed oil and cottage cheese "miracle mixture" but unlike other cats and dogs in testimonials I have read, he is uninterested in eating it even when it is heavily flavored with his allltime favorite Nutritional Yeast or even straight fish (which for a cat who has been on dry food for his meals should be a real wow treat.) How can I get this mixture into my cat in order to save his life? I truly think it could work and my vet has him on some meds that will allow him to keep food down for a few more days. But time is of the essence. He craves grass but he insists on eating the garden crabgrass variety instead of the wheatgrass I grew for him. I sure need some help, advice, encouragement, prayers, anything you'd like to offer.
Thank you. Woodie says thank you, too.
