I have seen it posted on here back a few months ago, but I didnt write it down. And I didnt see it archived anywhere.
So, I have 2 dogs (ones just a puppy) 2 cats that are indoor, and one out door cat and the fleas are eating me alive. I have tried the over the coutner stuff. the biospot or what ever that you put on the neck and so far they are still thriving. So, any ideas?

Well I am willing to wait if it will work. I have a new puppy and I really dont like using stuff on her (poisons) and I did sink so low as to give her that heart worm/flea protection pill that the vet gave me... and it didnt help!! But I have another dog and 2 other cats, so that is why it's not helping!

Dear Doggchopper, please don't neglect to continue the heartworm pill. Most homeopaths will agree that this is one of those things that have to be done. Once the worm enters the system, the dog is doomed. The only way to make sure this doesn't happen is by giving the pill every month. I also hated to do it, but I do. I try to stretch out the frequency, but never skip, especially during heart worm season. There was a pretty long discussion about this a couple of months ago. Check the archives. Best wishes, Mselle

Ok I will keep up with the heartworm. But this brand has heartworm and flea control together and I think that I will just stick with the regular heartworm pills for now on!!

Thanks

Someone told me once not to use the diotamaceous earth from swimming pool supply stores but to get the type from health food stores. There is a very good reason for this....however....my poor old brain can't remember what it is???? Can someone help me on this? Or check with the a health food store or pool store to find out. They are not exactly the same. The swimming pool one is processed differently somehow I believe.

You're welcome. I came across it myself by accident. I too had used the swimming pool version of DE.

Well OOPS I just used the stuff that I bought from the pool supply store!! I hope it's ok. I mixed it all up and put it on the carpet a few days ago.
Next time I will look else where for it.
But I must say I have TONS of it.

And. I think the flea's are angry because I have more flea bites lately than ever!!

Well maybe try to vacuum it up and cover your face. I remember when my son was about 2 he got a tic on him and it was one of those ones that carries lyme disease. It really freaked me out. So I bought the DE (from the pool supply store) and put this stuff all over the yard. When I found out about the DE I was like "Oh my God!!" Here I was trying to do the right thing and messed up. Luckily it rained a lot. But I would try to get it up in your house.
