I've posted a couple of topics regarding our german shepard, Sasha. (fear of fireworks and recent problem with a lump in her ear). The recent problem with her ear turned out to be a hematoma. We were leaving for vacation when this appeared, tried pulsatilla (but had no luck with that), so decided to let the vet lance her ear and drain the blood. Her ear has healed, but she all of a sudden is having trouble with her back right leg. This is a problem we have had with her in the past, ever since she was a puppy. The weather here has started getting colder at night. The cold usually seems to bring this ailment on. It's not always in her back right leg. Could be any one of her legs. In the past we have given her an anti-inflamatory, but would like to treat this with homeopathy. She is still eating and drinking just fine. Wants to play. But, can't because of the pain in her leg. It seems to stiffen up after she lays down. We have given her calc carb 200C in the past (GM suggested this when I inquired about her fear of fireworks. It did help here with that problem). Would 1M possibly be the next step? Thanks, Kathi

Wanted to report on Sasha's progress. Have to admit I was going to report this weekend. I was seeing very little change in her limping, but decided to wait and give the arnica a full week before panicking. When I got home from work on Monday, Sasha came running up to me (no limp at all). She nudged my leg with her huge paw and rolled over for me to rub her stomach. I haven't seen her in such a wonderful mood for a long time. She even raced me up the stairs onto the deck. For the past few weeks she would limp to the bottom of the stairs and then sadly watch us go up. She was hurting to bad to attempt it and when she did, it would take her forever. It's great to see her feeling so good. She's back to teasing and chasing our other dog, Kacy and runs to the back of our acre property to defend her territory with no problem. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, GM.

I was hoping not to have to post again, but, Sasha seems to have had a set back or possibly a new injury. Two days ago we noticed her favoring her right front paw. By last night she could hardly put any pressure on it at all. The temperature here has been extreme over the past few weeks. The current temp. has dropped 30 degrees over the past 3 weeks. We've noticed before that temperature extremes seem to bring on these limb problems. And that the pain will tend to "hop" from one limb to another. She has been feeling and looking so good the past few weeks, I was hoping we had the problem solved. It's possible this is a new injury, but from her past history, I'd probably guess it's not. What would be our next step with her, GM? Thank you, in advance. Kathi

This is a damage from the vets medications, give one dose of phosporus c200, once. And if it dont heal completely from that, use on dose one m, of phos the next time.

It's been just about one week since I gave Sasha the phos 200C. There has been very little improvement. She doesn't seem to be in as much pain as she was (she was sighing and whimpering in the evening, but seems to be more content since the phos). She still favors the right front paw, pain seems to be low and in the joint or tendon. Her spirits are still high. Wants to walk around the yard with us when we are out with her. She tries to play with the other dogs and her appetite is very good. Should I increase the dose to phos 1M or wait on the 200c? Thanks, Kathi.

Give it time, it improves, but if not fully gone in a month use one m.
