Unhappy

We have a dog who is part black lab and part Australian Shepherd about 1 year old. Has been enjoying great health. Coat looks shiny, bright clear eyes and pearly teeth. Good appetite and plenty of energy!!! This week we noticed tiny growths on her face and muzzle. Its like they weren't there and appeared overnight. They are hard and slightly pinkish. Two by right eye. One by left eye and a couple on muzzle. I have no idea if they are growths or warts or what? She's hard to hold down to examine. What could this be and is it possible to suggest a remedy on so little info? I'm concerned it may be contagious. I once had a dog who got a fungus on her nose... just looked like dirt until I tried to rub it off. Anyways any suggestions will be appreciated. I hate it when my dogs have a problem almost as much as when my kid is sick. And I am crazy about this beast.

We got a chance to check Midnight out better today and its definitely pustules all over her face, muzzle area and around eyes so it must be some type of skin infection. She doesn't scratch it and its not weeping. The pustules are rather firm and pinkish looking. Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi Dessie,

Can't have you talkin to yourself

Some thoughts - has Midnight maybe had her face where it shouldn't have been. Having a black lab - I know how he pokes his face in anywhere to investigate. So could she maybe having an allergic reaction to something? Or do they use that infernal weedkiller on streets and footpaths round where you live? They do here, and although the powers that be when questioned assured me that it was "SAFE" (yet the men putting it down wear white suits and masks ! ! ) my poor dog definitely reacts to it. He got itchy feet, itchy nose and could not stop scraping his eyes on the rough door mat.

Hope this is of help to you.

Good Luck Midnight.

Now that is interesting. She does use a plastic bowl. Won't hurt to change it. Thank you.

Hi! Yes she usually has her face places where it shouldn't be...usually up my other dog's butt!!! That is an interesting point. We live in a very rural area and they do spray the soy bean but she isn't allowed to roam....we walk her on a leash and usually she trots in the ditch by the fields. I was thinking about using sulphur but wasn't sure about the potency.

Hi
Perhaps this will help.
Our Boxer had pustules all over his face,
someone suggested to change his plastic bowl to an enamel one.
The pustules dried up and never bothered him again. Apparently some sort of chemical reaction.
(I am sounding like Pat now)

Could be apis or natriu,m this, salt is often causing this. If given salt food use nm 30 one dose, if not try apis 12 one dose.
