Unhappy

I have a black cocker spaniel 6 yrs old. Her nose is dry and crusty, her tongue is pale with deep cracks, she has disk degenerative disease, and mild arthiritis in her hind legs and just recently had her cancer toe removed. She is very hungry ALL the time and has become very assertive about eating anything. Otherwise she is very happy and doesn't complain at all
I am very worried and have seen a couple vets and NDs and DC but nobody seems to know the root
Thanks

If GM were available he would probably ask you what you feed your dog. He recommends raw meat and raw bones, let the dog bury them and dig them up to chew at will. As far as homeopathy, I can not advise you here, but do recommend that you continue to ask for help, eventually one of the homepaths should reply.

I feed my dog rice, cooked vegetables and avariety of meats semi cooked, beef, liver, tuna, and beef soup bones.
I looked up lycopodium and it sounds like it fits the bill. I am going to have her tested with a vega machine to test for parasites and stuff.

Before giving her any remedies, check the archives, I think there was another dog with similar problems. I wish GM were here to advise you. Cooked food has robbed the food of the particular nutrients that dogs need for healthy bones, etc. I am a vegetarian, and so it is somewhat difficult for me to feed my dog meat, but she is a species unto her own right, with particular needs, and she is very healthy. (P.S. Dogs cannot digest soy protein).

Thanks Mselle. I have a hard time giving her raw meat with the various types of bacteria around.
By the way who is GM?

Thanks. I couldn't find your story - what's the title? I did read some of GM's replies and he sounds wonderful. When do you think he will reply to me? My dog eats beef bones but she has never buried anything in her life. I am giving her CaMg, glucosamine, Q10enzyme, antioxidants, asodophillus. By the way, the Lyc has helped a bit, her nose is not as dry or crusty, just along the edge. She is not running very fast when we go out. She also isn't interested in drinking water especially after 1/2 - 1 hour walk/run. strange? any ideas?

Kiira, the post is titled 'Homeopathy works with the right homeopath". try the search function also. I tried glucosomine with my little guy and it made him worse. sometimes the supplements arn't as good as they sound.
GM will answer you when he comes back. If it wasn't for him and my friend who introduced me to homeopathy, my little guy wouldn't be with me now. Disc disease is a complicated problem.Hang in there, you will get help here.

Cool

Wow - what a beautiful story. Patchitu I am so happy for you and your dog! You are very lucky. The more I read about GM, the more impressed I am. When is he coming back? I have made an appointment for Kiira and I to get vega tested for candida and parasites next Monday should I wait? Do you think he'll be back then?
