Question

Harley is a seven year old golden mix (maybe chow) and he suffers from ear polyps and allergies. Last year Istarted him on lamaderm dog food by natural life and his coat looks better. This spring he took a turn for the worst with the ear polyps so inflamed that he scratches his ears untill bloody and shakes his head and he's started pacing the floor in discomfort. He also licks his paws continuously. His vet suggested surgrery for the polys but a second opinion from another vet said the polys would just grow back. Harley really needs something done last summer prednisone was the only thing that got him through. Any suggestions would be appreciated. arty45

Arty45, please wait for help from this board. read my posting on the discussion board(homeopathy works with right homeopath) about what happened to my little dog. prednisone is deadly to dogs and it's the first treatment always used by allopathic vets. prednisone is their cure all for everything, but it only breaks the dog's system down. I am confident hat this bb will help your dog and if you are lucky,GM will answer you.

Hello Arty 45,

I was told that constant licking of paws can be a sign of worms - is that a possibility. If Harley has them - they could be weakening his system and making him less able to cope with his problems. Good Luck to Harvey and I hope his homeopathic remedy helps him.

P.S. I agree with Patchitu (from bitter experience) - get him off the drugs.

Thank you all for your responses. I have weened Harley off the prednisone and gave him GM's suggested remedy this morning. I'll keep my hopes up. Arty45

Update on Harley's condition. It's been one month since his one dose of pulsatilla 200c. He seems better in general although ear polyps are still bothering him especially the right ear. He shakes his head and scratches ears the right one feels hot. Also has black eye goo around both eyes and sleeps most of the time.

Thank you again for your fast reply. Nine days ago I gave Harley one dose of lycopodium 200. His black eye goo turned clear and his ear scratching and head shaking has gotten worst.I forgot to say that there's a strong odor coming from Harley's ears but today is better. arty45

Harley is still very uncomfortable with ear polys. He is scratching and shaking his head. He also has terrible odor. I cannot find anyone to sell me the 1m strength of lycopodium without going to a practioner. Is there any to use the 200c dosage?
