Default Is there a difference between extract and tincture?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a difference between blessed thistle extract and blessed thistle tincture and does blessed thistle really come in an extract form? The reason why I am asking is that all I can get is blessed thistle tincture(cnicus benedictus) yet the source says to use the extract .. Since the source(post on another site) mentioned blessed thistle specifically and didn't appear to be too knowledgeable ( homeopathically )otherwise I wondered if he/she might have thought they were one and the same.(thank-you in advance for any clarification you may be able to give me on this)
