Default Rickets in goats

This problem arises when there`s a deficiency of vitamin D or when there`s a disturbance of the calcium/phosphorus ratio.

Symptoms/Clinical signs :

Enlargement of joints after a period of muscular weakness/stiffness, the front legs being more commonly affected. The bones of the rib cage are also affected.

For the treatment of this condition in young animals these 2 remedies will cover most ordinary cases :

Calcarea phos. 30c (or 30k), one dose 3 times a week for 6 weeks.

Phosphoric acid 30c (or 30k), one daily dose for 2 weeks.
