Just wanted to share my story of pet healing with homeopathy. My 15 yo male cat has a history of phosphate crystals. He's on a special diet, and has even had a urethrostomy because of this condition. At times, I've had success with homeopathic remedies. Other times I take him to the vet. He was there around a year ago after a long period with no problems after the surgery. Due to me giving him little scraps of food, he quickly developed problems again. It became very apparent Saturday morning (it always happens on a weekend

) that the crystals were back. In case you're interested, here is the case:
He had already started going in the potted plants, which is usually a sign something is wrong. However, this time he had been defecating, and there were no other behavioral changes so I assumed that perhaps he just didn't like his box.
Saturday morning he began with the usual symptoms of crying, distress and restlessness, going from plant to plant to laundry basket, licking at the opening, etc. I also found some urine on the floor with blood in it. This really disturbed me.
I gave him some muscle relaxer left over from the last visit to the vet, to lessen the urging and relax him. I then consulted Don Hamilton's book, "Homeopathic Care for Cats and Dogs," and administered Thlaspi, a remedy that's worked before. Sunday morning the symptoms were back so I went over the case again. Under Mercurius it says, "...concurrent diarrhea, with urging/straining to urinate and defecate simultaneously... straining may be intense and may continue after the urine or stool has been expelled. There may be mucus or blood in the stool or urine." (Although blood in the urine is a very common sx with cystitis.) There was no diarrhea but there was the concurrent stool. I administered another dose of the muscle relaxer in his food and put Merc cor 6c (which is supposed to work better for males) in his drinking water.
When I returned that evening, he seemed good. Monday, it was almost as if he'd never been sick, although there were still a few trips to the box and plant. Today he seems fine.
I just wanted to share this story of healing with the homeopathic community. I never cease to be amazed at the wonder of this medicine. If I had taken him to the vet, they would have done a number of invasive procedures, including extracting urine from his bladder with a syringe and using a catheter to remove the crystals. All I had to do was put some magic sugar pills in his drinking water

Thank God for homeopathy.
