Demand for better stipend Medical students cease work

The homeopathic students have been demanding a hike in the
stipend of house surgeons and post graduate students since
February this year. They demand that their stipend should be
increased to Rs 4280, equal to that received by the medical
students in allopathic colleges.

GP training to include the fringe alternatives

A proposed curriculum for Australia's professional college of
GPs includes unproven and unscientific treatments such as
homeopathy, energy field therapy and the use of shark cartilage
to treat cancer. But the college says alternative medicine is
growing in popularity, and doctors should be able to give
reliable advice on these therapies. The Royal Australian College
of General Practitioners, responsible for setting standards for
training GPs, last week called for help in developing an
integrative medicine faculty.
