The school's mission is to give students a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of homeopathic practice by focusing on traditional classical methods as applied by Hahnemann and the great practitioners, as well as exposing students to new ideas from the modern homeopathic world. Please go to www.homeopathy-academy.org for more information. ____________________________ 1) PROGRAM DIRECTOR TEACHER POSITION - PART TIME BASIC FUNCTION: The Program Director is responsible for establishing and implementing the teaching curriculum and for creating the educational vision for the school. This involves developing and writing the structure and curriculum of the program; choosing and working with other faculty to implement the program, liaising with all the students to ensure their learning needs are being met; developing evaluation programs for the students including tests, examinations, homework; grading homework and examinations and writing reports; and working with other homeopathic educational organizations to maintain standards of education and development. It requires being a core-teacher for the school and being responsible for the overall success of the school's program. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The candidate needs to have considerable experience both in homeopathic practice and teaching. At least ten years of clinical experience is necessary and ideally five years of teaching experience. This should ideally include experience in running teaching clinics. Canditate should maintain an active homeopathic practice or to have been actively practicing until very recently. DESIRED BACKGROUND (Partial List): · Knowledge of and passion for homeopathy is an important and necessary requirement. An understanding of the significance of homeopathic thinking as part of the overall health of individuals and the community at large. Tell us about this in your cover letter. Experience in administration in a non-profit organization. The equivalent in the private sector is also acceptable. Financial acumen including budgeting, and fiscal management. Experience in fund raising from public and private sources to support nonprofit agency programs. Exemplary communication skills including public speaking and writing, and an ability to network with community representatives, business executives, foundation officials, donors, and the media.
