Default severe hot flushes & night sweats

I hope someone may be able to give me some advice, about 6 yrs ago I thought some mad lunatic had taken over my body I was having the most terribe mood swings (rages) crying, depression, fatigue, constipation, & slight weight gain & my hair was thinning. when I went to the dr he thought i would commit suiside! took blood tests for perimenopause & thyroid the menopause came back not very impressive(his words) & thyroid normal ranges, he then gave me hrt which i took for about 9 months but they weren't helping & i stopped them.. I found a homeopath who took a detailed history and asked me to take my tempreture for 10 days which was mostly 35.4, she treated me with thyrodinum as she thought i was most probably underactive thyroid ( i have 2 sisters who both take thyrodoxine) after a few months my symptoms improved & i started a maintenance dose. she then moved away and as i felt better i stopped taking the treatment. things have been fine apart from alternate constipation followed by not being able to get to the toilet fast enough & the odd hot flush ( which weren't that bad & would come and go)
this year Feb we ( whole family) moved abroad cyprus & form about the end of march i have been having the most severe hot flushes & night sweats, they are happening approx every hour and last about 4-5 mins they start with a warm feeling coming up from my upper body through my head although I don't go red I then start sweating it absolutly drips from my head, face, neck, chest & back it's like every pore in my body from head to toe sweating I have a terrible feeling of fatigue and my legs feel weak sometimes having to sit down. when they have passed i feel chilled.. they are waking me up about 4 times a night (even with the aircon on) I had a hysterectomy at 35 because of a prolapse (keeping my overies) I am now 52 I don't want to go on to hrt again I have tried over the counter menopace & tofupill, sage tea also sepia I am now trying belladona I am getting quite desperate.. dont know how to help myself

This sounds like typical hot flushes due to menopause which usually occurs between ages 45 to 55, often a little earlier if you have had a hysterectomy. Your symptoms sound particulary severe.
If sounds like you do not wish to take HRT, which is reasonable because of the possible side-efects, including increased risk of thrombosis and breast cancer. There are other options:
