Default repeated doses of 200c

I was wondering whether anyone could explain the thinking behind giving
three doses of 200c potency - three days in succession.

Many thanks

1.To make sure that remedy is not antidoted.

2.To avoid severe aggravation.

This is all assumption and practical experience of some physicians.

Hi Rochelle,
That was the first meaning that I ever heard of the term "split
dose"--tho now it's also (more commonly? don't know) used to apply to
water dosing, e.g. LMs. With the three given either 24 or 12(ish)
hours apart. The reasoning I was given is that it (in some people's
opinions) seems to reduce likelihood of aggravation; analogy I was
given is e.g. a blender full of liquid, if you punch "high", you are
apt to get a face-ful; but if you begin with 2 or 3 quick pulses, the
body of water begins to move more smoothly, with less splashing.

I've only done it a few times, simply because I haven't had problems
with single doses; but that is the reasoning that I was taught years
ago. These days I would also instruct the person *not* to continue
repeating if they saw a striking response to one of the first doses,
but I don't know that that's necessary...
Best wishes,
Shannon

Doesn't follow anything in the Organon.
A recipe for disaster or nothing happening at all due to being wrong
potency and wrong dose.

See Aphorisms 246, 247 and 248 of the 6th Organon
potency needs to be changed with each dose and only way to do that is to
put in water or make huge leaps in potency

Three doses consecutively, if the medicine is well chosen, normally induces reaction in the patient. It is something akin to trying to get proving symptoms by repeated doses of the same potency.

If the first dose establishes reaction, it is advised not to repeat it. All doses till reaction is established is construed to be a single dose.

If a patient is not responding even after three doses, particularly in acute cases, it is necessary to have a relook at the remedy choice.

As Sajjad suggested ,another reason for three doses is the hope that atleast one dose will be taken in ideal conditions.

In chronic cases too, the relief even from a well chosen medicine may come only after a week or so, and there is generally no harm in trying three doses on three consecutive days and stop.

Of course, one has to be careful with sensitive patients, but majority of the patients are not sensitive.

"On rare occasions, I may give a patient a series of three test doses with the instructions to stop the remedy immediately if there is any aggravation or striking amelioration. I only use this triple-split dose on those patients that appear hyposensitive when they cannot return for a quick follow up assessment."

We had a good discussion on the three doses concept here sometime back. Have a look.

Do see the thread despite the search string being about coffee and antidote. The thread is about three doses and for some strange reason, this is how the url is.

Another view from Chris

"The test dose is just that, a test dose. One dose, or one series of 3 doses, stop wait and observe the reaction."

From the above thread.

Thank you very much to those people who responded to my enquiry about
repeating a dose of a 200c potency.

It was very much appreciated.

Best wishes

Rochelle.H.
