doctorleela,
Clinical reports of homeopathic successes have been recorded and published. I agree, more homeopaths should air their successes - and failures...which failures allopaths do not let be known. But statics suggest the largest deaths are caused by allopathic foul-ups. Planets (the moon in particular) do influence our lives momentarily - they do not have continuous power over us. They (the planets) can not dominate or determine the course of our lives. (Mine & Stephen Hawkins thinking). Like a thunderstorm can influence our reaction momentarily- it can not determine our future life. To suggest that planets - the numbers of which are increasing as science evolves - have a birth-hold right on our future, is to my mind, very unacceptable. When success is evading us, we grab at straws (stars) - when success blesses us we thank our lucky stars. It's embedded deep in our psyche. Jeff Tikari |

Hi Jeff,
Yes the idea that is getting crytalized is that just how there are a few central 'agencies' that review the standards of Allopathic research and allopathic clinical work clearly documented to achieve a standard. For example, The international Cochraine group that has also been reviewing homeopathic research and found a lot of it wanting and substandard on all fronts - including NOT following our OWN HOMEOPATHIC PRINCIPLES of individualization and similars, when constructing a research protocol!), we as a homeopathic community need to orgnaize ourselves internationally for the same purpose. We have quite a few problems to sort out in our community, before we reach that level of organization. We are constantly bickering among ourselves. We have severe ego problems with each other or each one trying to prove better than the other - or else pulling the other down. We still have to establish WHAT is homeopathy by being very clear on WHAT are homeoapthic principles and what violates them. We are told that being "classical homeoapths" means that we are not interested in homeoapathic progress or opening our minds to new potential in homeopathy. That is sad... because if we compromise on our fundamental principles, homeopathy can never progress. OF course - on the bright side, this is a normal scenario or a sceince (or scientific paradigm) that hasn't arrived as yet. The idea today is that homeoapths look at developing homeopathy with tools already avialable in Modern Medicine and sceince as it is today (without condeming them blindly) - but without any compromise in homeopathic principles. Once we do that, we can then also investigate the effect of "homeopathic" treatment that compromises on basic principles (eg: combinations, etc) and find out really how effective they are in the long term - do they cure, do they supress and are they just another passing fad and quick fix- what exactly is their scope? The problem with moon phases is that it brings up the prejudice of belonging to realms that have since the age of science, been relagated either to astrology or religion - both of which are considered completely UNSCIENTIFIC (remember Galileo?). It has less to do with homeopathy. re: influence planets and the moon can have on us - we can choose to be subject to them, or we can decide that we have our own human will power :) (and God who is above such natural phenomena). I tend to agree with you and Stephen Hawkins. leela Quote:
