Default RE: rotator cuff/spinal cord/knee injuries

I wonder whether the fact that everyone doesn't have equally good results
with homeopathic treatment or just with the body healing itself is not due,
at least in part, to nutrition. [There is a very recent study here in the US
that showed that folks had done as well or better after two years without
back surgery as with it, apparently!]

My husband developed severe wear on both knee joints from running for years.
He even underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair what they THOUGHT was a
tear in the meniscus. In fact, there was no tear, but plenty of "crystals"
that the doctor "shaved off". The pain returned (and no doubt the
"crystals") and continued until, several years down the road, my husband's
orthopedist finally said he "might as well try glucosamine"--years after
sensible folks had already tried it successfully. (That same doctor had
pooh-poohed the notion in earlier years. I was there--also had an orthopedic
problem--and heard him!)

So for the past 5 years, Husband has taken glucosamine/chondroitin at least
off and on with meals and the knee pain is gone. He does not run, but he
uses an elliptical trainer daily for about an hour and walks a lot,
pain-free. Nutrition, non?

Dear Teresa
Agreed
I tell many to give their body a supplm. of both glucos/chond. daily for at least 3 months before they make any hasty 'sugery moves' and youknow what it always prevents the surgery from happening. The trick is to take anough mil. for the weight of ones body.

Replacing joints, hips is the most ridiculous surgery, looking at this from a homeopathic prespective. You are only removing a body part not the actual 'cause' of the ailment, the pain/discomfort will eventually return even after surgery.
