Default Update on the Goat

Update on the Goat

I just wanted to update those that were interested in the goat that I
asked for suggestions on how to dose.

Since the beginning of September when I asked for help she has received
7 doses of Stram LM 0/1. Over this period of time her fear has slowly
subsided. I can now lean over the door of her shed without her jumping
to her feet. This morning she was lying under the hayrack which is
placed next to the door, I leant over the door and removed last nights
hay in order to give her fresh and she only slowly got to her feet and
moved quietly out of the way. Whereas before the Stram she used to
immediately dash off down the field when released from the shed, she
will now frequently stay in the shed and come out after all the other
goats have gone off down the field. She is now interested in exploring
the other sheds and shippons and has a look round the yard. She is
staying much closer to the house and is usually the first goat in of an
evening. I used to have to move out of sight for her to go into her
accommodation but now she just walks straight past me and goes in quite
happily. I have also been able to stroke her; she wasn't happy with the
attention but didn't freak out. One of her hips is slightly more mobile.
I have dropped lucky with the dosing as I have managed to get the eye on
each occasion.

Many thanks to all those that took the time to write with suggestions
for dosing.

All the best
Kerry
