Thanks, Gina. I would certainly appreciate hearing more about your Indonesian experiences. There are h5n1 lookalikes there, like dengue fever. Have you run into illnesses like that? If so, how are you treating them?

Happy to answer any of your questions regards volunteer work as a homeopath in Indonesia,what did you want to know? My stories are lenthy please be specific..................

Dengue fever runs rampant all over Indonesia even today it is VERRY COMMON. This happens normally in the humid wet seasons of each year,when i was there sept-oct 2005 this last time it was still dry season. Homeopathy is well equiped to handle Dengue fever.........please read link;

Your work in Asia has been very commendable, Gina.

My particular interest is h5n1. The only h5n1 Indonisian cases I have seen reported appear to be associated with western style medical facilities which have, again reportedly, had very little success. 75% mortality rate of those who received hospitalization but no way to know how many lesser cases are going unreported.

I have read that the more severe cases of h5n1 have been described (by the unhomeopathically inclined) as being very similar to dengue fever. If that is accurate, it suggests to me that those h5n1 cases might have responded to the types of remedies used for dengue.

As h5n1 keep cranking in Southeast Asia, where it appears to be endemic in an increasing number of mammalian species, I would definitely appreciate your assessment of what you think is happening on either a cultural or health care level. Allopathic medicine appears, for a number of reasons, to be quite at a loss for dealing with it in Indonesia. Any idea the relative breakdown of the different types of medical approaches there or what influences what type of medicine the villagers would seek?

IF h5n1 were to reach pandemic proportions here in the US, I think there could be even higher mortality rates because our medical facilities would quickly be overwhelmed. None of the standard western bells and whistles would be available. I am comfortable with the prospect of meeting h5n1 head-on with my remedies, but our US health system as a whole could fail miserably.

Sorry i dont think you understand,there is no PANDEMIC of avian flu. Please re-read the links i have posted in detail. A new drug has been made "Tamiflu".........this drug needs a disease.........thus the manifestation of a mothergoose story called Avian flu hits the media. Do you think there would be any sales if there was no disease?

Right now as we speak Donald Rumsfield is being investigated by several democratics regards all his nonsense. Along with other political igendas....... (as indicated he is connected to the multi billion dollar stock of tamiflu sales).

As a homeopath we must go by symptomology not by mass hysteria fear of some pandemic flu...................
Even in Dengue fever and Malaria we use homeopathics via casetaking symptomology only.

Regards medicine in Indonesia; that is a whole other subject.......all the old outdated,expired medicines are used in the clinics. The clinic i worked in had donations of all sorts of meds/vitamins/antibiotics/mostly expired....they rely on tourist/backpacker for donations,Right now there is a full ample good supply of homeopathics in this clinic,but the staff does not know how to put it to use. After i left the clinic it all went to shambles. My attempt at teaching homeopathy via a trial seminar in the biggest allopathic hospital in Singarajah Bali Indonesia was cancelled the last minute.......what a shame!
